your in there.
Keeping the thread current. Same deal. Drivers side AC was blowing hot. Turned the truck off, then back on, and its back to normal. Reset it'self. For now....For now.Know this is an old thread, but my drivers side was doing this. I followed these instructions and it reset the actuator. Found it on an amazon review before buying the part I thought I needed. When it resets you can hear it working.
I however never installed it when I found I could re-calibrate the HVAC system by doing the following:
1. go to the fuse panel under the hood and pull the 10 amp fuses for the HVAC
2. turn the key to vehicle on for 20-30 seconds then back off
3. replace the fuses
4. turn the key to vehicle on again and you can hear the HVAC actuators cycle through re-calibrating themselves
5. turn the key off, replace the fuse cover and close the hood
My vehicle was having a problem with the driver's side vents losing the cold air after a bit as the blend actuator eventually closed. the passenger side always stayed cold.
After I performed the steps above the problem went away.
I now have a spare part on my shelf.
