I have the Warn receiver set-up from my last truck. I have winched from the rear as much as from the front. It is an extremely valuable option off road. Plus, it stays safely in the basement when I'm not heading for the woods. I am waiting for Warn or anyone else to make a front receiver for our Avs. If that doesn't happen I'll look into having one made at a local welding shop.

Thanks for the link Jack

I have sent TJM an e-mail to see when they will have this for the AV. My AV bumper is cracked and will some day need to be replaced... why not put the $'s into metal instead of plastic ;D

I will keep you posted.

Damn, Jack! You guys know how to rock!

Jack - that looks like a lot of fun ....

Just need a snorkel for the AV....

I could see myself doing that as long as I had a winch and another AV in case I needed support (pulled out because my youthfulness didn't know any better ) :B:

That is one hole I would roll into as marc_w noted before... my current shots of me hitting it hard, were because the hole wasn't that long - so I knew I could hit it hard.

Blue. . . That's one heck of a splash. I didn't know that there was that much water in one place that high up this year in Colorado! Maybe you splashed a bit on the fires that we've got burning out this way - couldn't hurt!

Here's a quiet & Clean picture of my rides

My pix look fuzzy...Don't know how to get the resolution up. Sorry! I took them with a 35mm and had them put on a CD...Any help??? Thanks....

Old Blueruck got a little worried this morning...Hoped in the AV and the ** check engine light *** was on.. 1st thoughts were about mudding and if I did something..

Turns out the Purge Valve (what ever that is) is bad.... they said the problem wouldn't have been caused by me playing.... I didn't offer up any pictures becuase GM is paying to fix it :B:

Young A.J. had the same situation a couple weeks after ponding. They replaced the 'mass airflow sensor' a couple weeks ago, and the light came back a couple days later. I am bringing the Beast back into the dealer for another go at it on Monday. I'm not sure if any of it is related to the pond jumping, but I didn't even mention it to the dealer. Nor did he ask why I needed a new tow hook! :2:

The engine hasn't run any differently - it's just a bit annoying having that light on the dash...

The BEAST

I would love to trade you AV's for a day - with that lift and tires, I have a couple of test I would like to run :)

Can you get your Beast in the garage? One reason I am thinking about not doing a lift.

Mark

Blue, I'm with you. I almost bought a decked out 6"lifted Av with 33" tires and AR Python wheels and other cool extras. Length wasn't an issue but the height was. We don't have a basement in our house so I built a large loft in our garage that stores holiday decorations etc. The Av just squeaks underneath it by about 1 or 2 inches.

I have about an inch to spare before taking off the Onstar antenna. I fit in airport parking garages, drive-thrus, etc. It also gets much more attention then without the lift...just looks meaner(in my opinion). Cleaning underneath is now a huge chore as I see many of you "mudders" probably already know. It's all worth it. I love my beast!(named by my 9 yr. old son) :B:

Great looking set-up. I am having an increasingly difficult
time putting off a lift kit. :cautious:

orboater:

Excellent picture! Great job! The Beast - UGH! Those would have been perfect pictures but alas they are a tad over exposed.

If you wanted to take another swag at it my recommendation would be within 90 minutes of sunrise or within 90 minutes of sunset. The light is much softer than. Take a look at orboater's pic on page 16 of this thread of a good example of an early AM or late PM shot and what the lighting can do.

As a matter of fact, poor lighting/over exposure is probably the number one reason some of the pics put up didn't make the cut. Other wise it is a GREAT pic and exactly what I had in mind.

Keep them coming - we need like two to four more and I can pull it together...
