This is what I did with my day off - went to visit the folks at Stealth Offroad in Fredricksburgh - spent the day and watched the entire process as Ben and Mathew worked out the details for fitting the 2500 - Ben is an ARTIST with welding tools.

They have everything there to do the job professionally and they did (y) I am very impressed - it really makes the front end look serious [and mean] - solid as a rock.

This is just the first cut at the pictures - I am delighted with the result.

I have more pix of the process that I will add later.

Special thanks to their folks who toured me around historic Fredricksburgh - that was a treat.

Jack - that is SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!

If these guys had been making bumpers when I really wanted one, I would have bought a Stealth - I am stuck with my traffic blaster

Man this will slow you down a bit at the track so you are going to need a new engine mod or more boost :)

Congrats

That is awesome Jack!!! That is pretty much just like the one we will be getting (I hope). You will have to add that 500 shot of Nitrous to overcome that added weight.

P.S. Looks like you ran through a nice mess of BUgs on your way back home.

It adds a net 100 lbs, just have to live with it ;D

I am continuing to work with them on some ideas for better cooling, Ben is a racer and understands the issues.

Yes, I did some serious pest control on the road late last night, just couldn't wait to take pix. Got a lot of looks at the breaks for gas and food >:D

I have gone out twice today to just admire it

BTW, Blue, looking at yours was what convinced me to go with the full bar, thanks, it makes the fron look so much better - like a truck should.

Great pics! I would have posted some last night, but the internet was down here until just a few minutes ago (Gandolph got caught in a wicked lightning storm here yesterday). I'll post some here and on the website www.stealthoffroad.com

...BTW, Jack nailed the throttle for us as he was leaving...

...AWESOME! >:D

Jack, that is awesome... congrats.

I have finally figured out the real reason for the bar... you need to try and keep the front down at launch, right?

You got it - hate to have the front lift on launch and loose control ^^

Welder what yall use MIG FCAW TIG or old fashioned STICK.......

Your beast was impressive before that! Very nice!

PM me your asking price then. (y) If the price is right, I'll see if I can scrape together some cash. I have to clear it with the boss first though.

Looking Great!!! I also like the cab lights where did you find them?

Thanks,
Faver Buhler
Thanks, you were the first - inspired me.

As to the roof marker lights check http://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com/cafcna/index.php?board=16;action=display;threadid=6143;start=0 - they are the standard 1 ton dually setup.

Looks great Gand, but I really think that the winch would be the cherry on top. I think the winch really makes the look of the bumper. Any plans on having one installed?

Manny, I understand the comment, but am passing on the winch at this time - I was more concerned with getting the fit for the 2500 correct, which they did and am still concerned about weight.

They have some great winches, I wandered around the warehouse while we were waiting for the powder coat to cool and they have some awesome ones for the truck - some of the mil spec ones are really tough looking.

Mostly MIG, although we use TIG for some little detailed stuff and on stainless. Aluminum, huh? Yep, it could be done. It'd be a shame, though, to have all that extra money sunk into it, and nobody be able to tell...so it'd have to be polished and clear-coated >:D

Looks really good!

Can you get amber bulbs into that bumper
I am having to rethink the front lighting on the Beast.

The small ones make excellent day and night running lights - really helps in the close area at night.

The 6" Hellas have a great beam and I am thinking of converting them to auxilary lights for lonely back roads - they are really focused.

That leaves me with a problem of the yellow drl's - working on it. Need some relays and switches for it all.

It is a good problem to have >:D
