Hey folks, I just finished putting my dash kit in and noticed some people where asking what a real brushed aluminum kit looks like and like myself searched on here and saw wood, carbon fiber etc. but could not find a pic of RBA, so I took the leap bought the flat kit but was a little disappointed at the edging around the pieces sooooo homie bought  1/4" chrome strips and made my own edges. Problem was nothing would stick worth a crap so I had to dot the 3m tape on the back with super glue to help the adhesive bond, so far so good. Also took the chrome strips and did the cladding on the outside. It is late but I will take pics tomorrow. Mine is an 04 dark blue with a putco chrome kit (handles, mirrors, etc.)

Okay, I just took some photo's but I'll have to shrink them down a bit. I'm on nightshift, I'm a Marine with New River Military Police so we have some crappy computers here but I'll try and post them later this evening, never have posted a pic on here so bare with me. Semper Fi.

:welcome:

I do have some more photo's at a closer look. With the chrome stips I just measured the lenth and carefully bent them around the edges to give it a more molded edge look.

let's see if these aren't too big, had to resize

That looks really nice!  What kit is that?

That chrome trim really does give it a much more finished touch too... looks like it was a lot of work.  Well done!

I bought this kit from woodashexperts website.  It was the 52 or 53 piece kit without the door panels as mine is a non leather interior. Be careful as I had mentioned the 3M tape didn't hold too well and I had to dot the edges with super glue to help it stick. I also used that chrome tape for the cladding and will post some pics soon for that, really complimented the chrome door handles and etc. Thanks for the "welcome aboard" folks, have a great weekend. Sorry you had problems warriorNation99,

I used NYCDASH company which I think is part of woodashexperts and I did not have any trouble with my real carbon fiber parts, the tape held fine. I did use a hair dryer to heat the parts up and used the tubes of prep liquid too.
Maybe the carbon fiber was more flexible than the real brushed aluminum?
Here is photo of mine.
