First off, I know this is my fault. ?I'm just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience...
... or would just like to laugh and poke fun at me.
So, my team is moving to another building and we had to take our personal belongings home for the weekend. ?To make room for my taller plants, I folded the bottoms of the rear seats forward. ?This allowed me to put the plants right on the floor. ?Groovy, they fit! ?So far, so good.
Most of you have already figured out the ending. ?Shush, don't ruin it for the others.
Now, as we all know, raising the rear seat bottoms unlocks the latches holding up the seat backs. ?Sure enough, while coming to a stop light on the way home, one of the seat backs came vaulting forward and crushed my poor drac under its incredible mass.
Ok, so it's not that bad. ?The plant survived, and I realized that I'm kind of a dufus.
So here's the question. ?Anyone other than me considering a modification to the seat cables and latches? ?It seems that it'd be pretty easy to disconnect the cable from the seat bottom and affix a rubber tab to the end. ?You could still lift the seat bottom as always, but the seat back would remain locked in place. ?If you want to lower the seat back, pull the tab while pulling forward on the seat.
Yes? ?No? ?Maybe? ?Shuddup plant-lovin pansy-boy?
