Just got my AV the other day, I tryed the rear seats at the dealer, they folded fine. But today when I tryed to pull up the 60 side, it's stuck, I can't get the seat to flip forward by pulling the nylon strap, I felt the under side, and the straps still attached to the lever, and the 40 side flips up like it's supposed to, ANYBODY else run into this problem??? if so, any help would be appreciated.

Gat - that is a strange one.

I don't recall seeing this problem posted here - though my memory isn't that good.

Do you have anything under the seat that could be pinched in the seat latch? Just asking, since I have all kinds of things under the seats.

Nope, nothing under the seat, I felt the latch under the seat, but can't see if anything got caught in there. Keep the ideas comin' though!

Thanks

I searched and couldn't find anything on it.

I did find this interesting one:

Rear seat crushed my favorite plant

I would make sure the seat belt straps didn't get stuck down there. Mine have. ?Then again, you might want to check for Fish's plant ?;D

Got it unstuck! I flipped the 40 side forward, then released the seat back on the 60 side so I could get behind the seat. I placed a small shaving mirror on the floor under the latch and used a screwdriver to push the latch up. After the seat released I found out that there were 2 latches on the 60 side, and the one over by the 40 side must have been caught on something. I have open and closed the seat a couple of times now, everything works fine! Thanks for all the suggestions, I knew when I found this site before I bought my AV that it would be great!

Thanks again

Hey gatorjedi,

Don't get too excited; it'll probably happen again. I took mine in for the same problem a month ago. Two days later, I finally got my truck back, and everything seemed to be working fine.

I took it in this a.m. for the same @$J$%!!! problem. I told the service department to fix it right, or keep it (I have also had problems with the alarm, the radio, and the sunroof).

As much as I don't want to, I'm considering trading for a Tundra. I just can't keep sacrificing my time taking this thing in for service.
