gotta 07 lt and lookin for a rear towing shock absorber and i have airbags in the springs but keep having issues with them
does anyone know of a set up thats more of a pancake bag that goes in place of the bump stop instead of inside the coil springs and i was also wanting to know of a complete air ride setup for complete adjustable ride height and if towing would still be an option ????

Same suggestion as I posted for the original poster,
It helps us answer you if we know more specific info on your AV and the parts you are looking at.....Is your AV an LT, Z-71, Z-66 or LTZ?

It looks like a Southern Comfort conversion, does it have stock shocks and springs or aftermarket? Has it been lowered?
Several of the stock models have specific shocks matched to spring rates so if you change things in shocks you may want to change springs as well to get the best ride.

Stock is fine as long as you do not exceed trucks limits

stock everything suspension

If you look in the glovebox you should see a sticker with a list of codes which are RPO codes that detail exactly what your AV came with from the factory and that list can be interpreted by threads on this site listing meaning of each RPO code for each year AV.

You may have to search for older threads on Southern Comfort to see info on what changes exactly they did once they got the stock AV and modified it as well.

got a pic printed it out and google searched and found a list then went through every code and wrote down all that was listed but there are some that were not ....wonder what they are...but i would like to lower my avy but also tow and be able to use it in rough terrain or snow being 4x4 and a new hampshire native livin in va but visit often

The link I posted for you is 3 pages long and some updated codes are in the other pages, there is also a many page RPO code list with lots of info in the section for the first gen AV and some info may be mixed in that thread as well.
Just my .02 but it may be an error to try and lower your Southern Comfort AV with all that plastic in the lower trim it will get damaged in the rough terrain and snow you want to take your AV in and those parts are limited, expensive and hard to replace I would imagine.
Also speaking from experience and many decades of living in Norfolk area we do get snow here and they are slow to plow the roads and even then it's only the major roads that get plowed. I know we don't get the volume of snow like New Hampshire but we are less prepared and the people drive like idiots since they get little experience.
If you plan to alter suspension it's easiest for you to check those codes and see what your AV statrted out as such as an LT, LS or LTZ etc. that way you know the suspension it has like Z71, Z66 or Z55 (air ride ltz suspension) since some of the lowering kits will not work with certain suspensions.

I have a 2007 Avalanche Z71 and tow a 30 foot 7,000 lb loaded travel trailer. I've been also considering a Firestone airbag kit and replacement bump stop. Etrailer has a bump stop upgrade that interests me, but it's $225. Not sure if it's worth the cost. Either way, I need to replace my bump stops because they are rotted. https://www.etrailer.com/Vehicle-Suspension/Timbren/TGMRYS4.html

You may want to look on Amazon for that part. Someone return a set.
