Rear window frame broken...WTH? (Pics)

For others that don't have a warranty, you can get rear windows with tint for $155.00 on ebay..

Is the back window the same for all years 02-13?

My 04 has this issue and want to know if 2nd gen window would also fit

The back window is the same for all model years and also between the Avalanche and the EXT.

2002 did have a DEEP TINT as an option with the Z71 & Z66 rear window.

Chevy stopped doing that later years since it cause crazy reflections inside cab at night.

I choose to live with a rear view of my instrument cluster in the rear window at night.

And my 2004 EXT came with the clear glass while my 2003 Avalanche had the regular dark tint.

I can certainly see where an even darker tint might cause issues with reflections.

I was able to find a "new" back glass on eBay years ago to put on the EXT. so the clear window is in storage, just in case.

The "new" rear window was from a 2003 Avalanche and had been stored since the early days at a glass shop out in California.

The glass shop must have been cleaning house and tossed the window up on eBay.

It came to me in a box for a pick up truck rear slider.

Seems like I gave $100 for it.

The frame was even intact.
