Needing help..insight. Hello everyone. I have a 2004 z71 avalanche with a u0107 code. Happened on a bumpy road. Hit a few bumps..vehicle went into limp mode. Then died and pulled the code u0107. Checked all fuses and relays. Confirmed voltage on 3 month old battery. Reduced power reads Instrument cluster will NOT indicate current gear, no park, no neutral, fuel pump wont prime. Code reader will not work either.Now..if you shut the driver side door really hard or bang on upper portion of fuse box by driver side...the Instrument cluster now reads park and all other gears Intermediately. Codes can be ready and reset..byt immediately goes into limp mode. I could only get normal throttle for about 35 seconds. Is there a location under driver side dash related to the Tac module. Also..any ideas how to diagnose this or What to do and where?
TIA

Check grounds.

Poor grounds can cause all kinds of problems with these trucks.

One of the ground locations is on the frame under the driver's side door.

Since slamming the driver's side door seems to effect things, I would begin there.

There are many other grounds on the truck that should be found, cleaned and verified good.

Diagrams of all of the ground locations have been posted in this forum several times.

my av 07 had the same issue when i drove in a pool of water doing 30 mi/hr , the car started to go into idle mode with reduced power message on and no acceleration at all then stop completely. took it to the shop the tech found out that some wires were pulled out of their places . so your problem could be a loose pin or connection.
