Quick question fellas. I have an 07 with a Black interior. My dash looks a little faded is there going to be any harm in putting a light coat on the dashboard and airbag cover that has faded to gray to bring back the deep black??

The fumes would be the tough part there... i think they have one for the interior and its the cockpit spray
http://www.therightcarstuff.com/Cockpit-Spray-Two-Pack-2-Microfibers_p_14.html  (y)

The fumes will go away in a day or 2 if windows left open.

I dont see why the RR would be a problem for plastic, but I believe its not good on rubber (it may deteriorate rubber/rubberized stuff).

Also, no leather or vinyl stuff. Just plastics.

Ive used it on refrig and appliance handles in my house, and made stuff look brand new again.

Also, dont try on black paint...doesnt work, I tried...hehe  >:D

Thanks for the Great Year End Deal!

And, especially so for keeping Arizona Dave Happy.

When he's Happy, many of us are Happy too!  :D

I might need to apply this stuff to a poorly repaired Mac Book Pro. At least it may end up looking better than it has been operating after 4 trips to Apple in Memphis TN.

(I ended up double posting via false forum messages.)

Thanks again for the Great Deal.

Is there any online retailer that sells RR and will ship to Europe (the Netherlands)?

Thanks in advance!

WWW.THERIGHTCARSTUFF.COM sells it....

Not sure about shipping to Europe, but it wouldn't hurt to contact them!

Hell, it's made in Germany by a company called Autoworks or something similar.

It is made in Germany by Car System which is a division of Vosschemie.  Shipping it from the US to Europe is very cost prohibitive.  I followed up with him.

Thanks, I actually found it through Vosschemie and have RR here now! Thanks again...

Its been a few months...Ive been letting my test-strips set on the truck since I wrote last...And im 90% sure Im going to "strip" or clean...or whatever we want to call it...the old RR off using Goof-Off.

The area that I used goof-off on and then re-applied the RR, still looks good. The old application of RR stiff has the greying/fading but NO PEELING (I believe what Im seeing is literally too much RR from when I did it last year, and maybe wax residue that was on the cladding from car washes)

The area that I stripped using Goof-Off is still grey/faded.

Prob wont do it this week, but maybe next week...I will post before/afters and I will be using my new RR that RightCarStuff kindly sent me, and will apply more sparingly this go-around with the micro-fiber cloth.

No, I wont be taping off my paint, RR comes right off without damaging paint or clear coat.

Ive seen the pics of the faded spots and "sunburn" peeling posted here.  Ive used RR a bit over the years, I notice those exact symptoms before and in my experiences it was when harsh soaps/degreasers were used as well as high pressure from either brushless car washes or power wash wand at the coin op car washes.
I get mixed results in East Texas with high humidity, salt and heat going agains me Ill see anywhere from 3-9 months on an application.
RR does bond to the plastic but its still vulnerable to harsh cleaners Id only use  carwash soap on it otherwise it can be agitated and have the life shortened.

I've use RR for the last 4 yrs and continue to have the same issues. I have tried everything and followed what all have posted on this site...I'm just very disappointed on how this product doesn't last. Sure, she looks awesome when you first apply, than over a few months or when winter hits...she looks like she did prior to the last application. Realistically, I will be taking her through a car wash during the winter, I was hoping that this product would last longer than just a few months.

I am still open to suggestions..however, ive done all the things members have spoken about with the same issues of fading and flaking, using goof off, 2 applications, using one applications..etc..but still have the same results. Please don't misunderstand my frustration...and not trying to bad mouth RR. I guess I'm just jealous that it seems to work for others and last a long time...but no luck with me.

The same thing is occurring with me.. I live in Tampa not sure if the sun is the problem or what I'm sure the rest of the country gets just as much sun.. It's just annoying the first attempt it looked great for about 9-10 months and the last few applications no after what I do it appears some areas will not change from being gray and splotchy..

Im thinking more and more this is some issue with residue left on the cladding. Most likely wax residue from car washes etc.

Being in Arizona...the sun is brutal, and we experience the highest temps in the western hemisphere, plus freezing in the winter, plus, believe it or not, pounding rain that makes rain in most parts of the country look like sprinkles...

That being said, Im going to do the Goof Off treatment twice before re-applying, and im going to apply once very thin coat, wait 1 day, and maybe a second...no more.

The 18-months result I got on my 2005 truck was awesome, and many others got similar results back then, and its not older vs newer formulas of RR because it was the same can for both trucks...and I noted immediately when I did the 07 that is went on completely differently than on my 05...I then proceeded to put 2 more coats on after the 1st 2...

So I may be experiencing my own made problem...who knows.

The appliance plastics in my house that I treated 3-1/2 yrs ago still look great btw...haha...no flaking or peeling, just new looking plastic.

seems to me goof off may be too harsh.  I like to use an all purpose cleaner like simple green and the like, and once dry follow up with alcohol.  I get 99% from a local auto paint supply or use denatured, whichever i have at the time.

I live in Tampa FL and experiencing the same thing. It's very frustrating.. I emailed Brian he replied saying to clean it with either dawn or goof off as alcohol doesn't seem to be doing the trick.. Don't get me wrong iknow the first time my cladding was like chalk so I applied 3 coats and the second I applied another 3.. Not sure if the wax residue is from using so much rr? I don't do car washes that often I usually wash it myself.. As soon as I get a nice day I might try goof off or goo gone and lightly rub it down and see what happens
