Thinking of having a GTG when it gets cooler to repair refinish the Avalanche cladding, we now have a sponsor on this site that sells the refinish restore. We will need to figure out how much to buy, prep work cleaning and go from there.

Boy the price of that stuff has gone up since the last time I bought a can.

Yea but our Av's really need it done as the sun out here is merciless, even warped my top panel again...this is the second one :(

We need very little to treat an AV.  And prep work consists of a soft bristle brush to work in some watered down Dawn dishwashing liquid, and a hose to rinse off the soap.

If I recall correctly The Kid bought the last can off ebay and I reimbursed him for the purchase, but then after I treated my AV he took the can home and poured it onto the floor in his garage.  Maybe we should not trust The Kid with the next can?

Just thought i would let you all know that i received my first can of Refinish Restore a couple weeks ago,  Got it from our site sponsor.  I cleaned the panels with dawn detergent as recommended and then applied a coat of RR.  I waited one hour and then applied a second coat of RR.  It looks awesome.  Thanks so much for the recommendation.  I read every thread on this stuff and finally bit the bullet and bought it.  I am thrilled with the product and will not use anything else now.  Once i get privileges, i will post my before and aft pictures.  Thanks everyone !!!  (y) (y)

Correction...
Said can was not spilled...RR ate through the can and went away...

Regardless...I'm buyin' the next can hu?

If I remember correctly, at our last buy laws meeting after we got you liquored up we got you to admit you poured it onto the floor and made the cat roll around in it.  It's not my fault you can't hold your Robert Palmers.    (y)

Well,  tried to create a photobucket album of my before and after pictures on the 2006 Avalanche.  I hope i did it right.  Posted two before and two after pictures.  I thought it turned out great.

Thanks junglecat, that looks great.  I have used it before, it lasted about 2 years in the hot desert sun.  Looking forward to another application to get it looking like new again.

Your truck is looking good, junglecat247!
