1) Would you like to host a National Event?

2) Do you think you can do it?

3) Do you know someone that can?

If you do, CAFCNA welcomes your GTG ideas.

I have started this topic for discussion of ideas to see if we can come up with a proposal. FOR ONLY OUR region

We are aiming for July 24-27, 2014.

If you have an idea, post below

Please post your thoughts and ideas.

Is that the Hooter's downtown?  If so, that is the only thing on the list I've been to besides the Underground mall.  How sad is that?

Yeah, I have gone a lot of places in ATL but not the Aquarium  and the last time I was the laser show at the Mt...I was 17.

If someone else has another idea...say Tybe island, then lets see them

Tybee, in peak summer season would be a BAD idea..  Hotel costs are through the roof, and they tend to focus on clubs in the slower months which is why STI was always in October..

Looks like you are on your way for sure..  (y) (y)

I am all in for Atlanta. Lots of things to do there.

Im all in for atlanta, but then again i live there. There is not alot of parking that i can think of right off the top of my head near the hooters downtown (unless you drive a compact car).

To add to the atlanta list there is also the number of lakes around the north georgia area that would be great for a BBQ/cook out and some water fun. I am sure some of us have water toys to bring along.

As for helping out with everything. Im not the best in the world but i can do graphic design, as well as supply music (professional DJ by trade for 13 years). Also im a pretty mean cook when it comes to low country boils.

my thought was to use the parking garage across the street.

And no matter where it is held, maybe your skillz for graphic design will come in hand.

If ALT is selected, you're on call for DJ (y)

Even if it isnt in Atlanta , i dont mind traveling , as long as it doesnt conflict with paid gigs. i was in tampa, FL mon - wed this week, leaving for NC in the morning. Traveling is no issue. keep me informed, PM me if you need to.

I specialize in dance/club top 40 and pop music. But i have just about everything , and can play anything. I DJ for weddings and pvt events, too. So i keep a large music collection. I do have some live recordings from FM radio broadcast, clubs, internet radio broadcast if anyone is wanting to check it out. http://soundcloud.com/the_dj_prism

I don't have a clue about trying to put something together but there are quite a few car/bike events that are scheduled each year in Maggie Valley, NC at the Maggie Valley Festival Grounds. It's a great place for those events. Plenty of lodging very close by. We have The Blue Ridge Parkway all around us for a cruise. Biltmore House in Asheville about 30min away. Harrah's Casino in Cherokee about 30min away. Cruise the Parkway to Gatlinburg, TN to hit the shops and possibly Ripley's Aquarium, maybe even some tubing, Dollywood is also close by about an hour. Plenty of places to eat within 2 to 45 minutes away from the Festival grounds. I can get info on these if someone wants to try to put it together.

Pigeon Forge was 2008.  Not 07.   I think Loggie's trying to distance himself from the go-kart races...  >:D

oops that's right.  See what happens when you have water trauma

I would not go anywhere near underground Atlanta except when I'm carrying little sketchy at nite....just saying
Well we all carry lol.  >:D >:D
I think the things listed are just ideas that if Atlanta is picked well be fine tuned when the coordinators start working in it.
