Remote Start

I'm looking for feedback on remote start add-on for the Avalanche. Specifically for the 2004-2005 MY please. There seem to be a lot of available units out there, just wondering which has been the best. We are in California and the usage is both for cold weather warm-up and summer cool-off. Most often the warm-up, though.

From reading older posts it seems many problems occur when owners add aftermarket systems to an AV. It seems to be less problematic if you can stick to a GM factory remote start system.

Does GM still offer an upgrade to autostart with OEM fob? I found this searching google. I wonder if you guys that know think this is a solid system?

I had Best Buy install a remote starter on my 03 av and I love it. Great in Michigan winters and so far Problem free!

I owned my first AvY for about 11 months before i discovered the factory key FOB had remote start. 5 lock clicks and vroom! I was startled when it happened and took me a few tries to figure out the pattern as I wasn't paying attention the first time Haha. I had just replaced the battery so i was making sure i could lock and inlock is all.
