Big Red,

Did you ever think of doing the rear doors as Suicide Doors?

Now that would be a mod.

Like the Extended cabs with the 3rd door that swings to the back.

Here is a thought for you. When my Av was hit & needed right fender, & 2 doors, I used it as an advantage to install Dynamat. Well worth the small effort while she is dismantled. Made a HUGE difference.

wow, and I thought my AV looked naked when I took it apart to sand and paint all the cladding. Here in about a year it will be time to disassemble whitie for a sound system and complete color change. I have had some classic and antique cars apart to this extent, but they werent wrecked.
Thanks BIGRED these pics will help out greatly. Hope your baby gets back to you soon.

I work at an Audio shop. I would strongly suggest getting the doors, area around the wheel well in the fenders and some people go a lil over board but its worth and and would be easy for you undder the dash around the firewall. But if you really want to spend cash remove all seats and carpting get the floors headliner whole tailgate area it will be one quit beast inside. We are also replacing some of our av peices with the caddie panels light the tailight (gotta love the long caddie style brake lights)

:C: we took our 2002 beautiful sunset orange avalanche in to get the tailgate looked at-(it kept falling down,)and the service guy drove it right thru their garage doors. - $8,000 damage. We only had it for 4 months. they are fixing it, yes, but now it's a wrecked vehicle for resale purposes and has lost it's value-dealer dosn't want to do anything except repair it and give it back to us. (My husband is handicapped and had a handicap gas pedal installed, and service guy hit the wrong pedal. Dealership is treating us with kid gloves. Any suggestions -should we ask for another 2002, or request extended warranty? Thanks. Peru12

Diminished value is a buzz work in the autobody industry. If the vehicle is not repaired to look exactly like the factory sent it out, you should be entitled to a diminished value settlement. Contact your state consumer affairs office. If you have any questions about this, I would be glad to help. Mail me at "tomsauto@tamaqua.net". We have been in the business for 39 years.

For those interested, I am selling a TON of parts in the buy/sell forums. things like cladding, hood, bumpers, headlights, tailgate, and much much more! so if you see something you want just PM or email me and i'll see what i can do. Thanks!

Big Red - has any one asked - what is the estimate on the repair bill. I'm curious to know that. Also - do you have an ETA on your Av being completed?

Actually I'm kind of curios as to whether you have a small piece of cladding that is no good for anything. I want to take it too the range and see what different caliber bullets do to it. Since it claims to be almost bulletproof. :B:

Depending on the results and ranges that might make for an interesting story in CAFCNA Magazine!

Will Big Red get contributing author credit if he donates an old mangled piece of cladding to the cause? >:D <hint, hint!> ;)

There are two pieces up for sale on ebay, they may have ended yesterday though (can't remember). ?I don't think anyone had bid on them and they were like $20 + $12.50 shipping each. ?They were the front driver side door and front passenger's side door.
I was considering testing sanding and painting.

just checked, looks like they're gone but no one bought them.

alright! damage has been repaired... new parts are in... time for magic! i guess i'll start by asking people one last time before it's too late... what would you like to see photos of? places... wires name it. i guess i'll start teasing you guys with photos of some new goodies i got. >:D
