I have a 2004 5.3L Z71 Avalanche with the 4L60E tranny with way too many miles on it. The tranny failed. I found another 4L60E in a 1999 4x4 Blazer with a 4.2L V6 that I replaced the bad one with. I swapped the bell housings and the transfer cases and put the Avalanche's back in the Avalanche on the Blazer's tranny along with a brand new torque converter. I should mention that I did the work basically in the snow and the first fluid I put down the dip stick was a quart of Lucas Anti Slip followed by a quart of fresh tranny fluid but the tranny fluid was cold and so was the tranny. The Lucas was preheated so that I was able to get it into the tranny. Then I started the engine and ran it for almost 5 seconds and shut it off. I added more fresh tranny fluid then started the engine and let it run while I finished filling the transmission with fresh fluid truck doesn't move. I can hear the engine bog down a bit with each of the gears I select but I have no movement. I haven't raved it up much but I have at least let it get warm and a few different times over the course of a few days. I've checked all electrical connectors 3 times. Is there a difference between the trannys that I'm unaware because the Avalanche still doesn't move. What did I miss? Please I need some help!
