Does anyone know of a camera for the pioneer 7500DVD, besides the one pioneer offers? It seems a bit on the expensive side....

There are quit a few out there. Just get one with Mirror image for the reverse perspective. I also recommend one with a very low lux rating for backing in the dark. It doesn't have to be any kind of special camera other than what I mentioned but I would also recommend water resistant and as wide an angle lens as possible. Mine sees like 130 degrees which is plenty.

What's your definition of the "expensive side"? There are a ton of reverse image cameras out there. You probably don't want to go more than 140 degree field of vision though, because then you start to see the "fisheye" effect through your monitor. Meaning the display starts to skew. Check out models by Accele and SAVV to start.

Take a look at Supercircuits.com They have many cameras with many different specs. 130 - 170 degree field of view is fine. I have a 0.0003 lux, which is probably 3 orders of magnitude more sensitive than you really need, (try something at 0.1 or less) as you will have backup lights on which will provide significant illumination. Also, black and white works very well, you don't need to know the color of the Toyota you're about to crush, just where the Toy is.

You can find some reasonable to hot cameras there from $39 to $150.

I bought a home security camera that is very small and is black and white/w audio. i was wondering if i could use this but the plug in for it is for a house which is DC current I believe. Could I use this for the truck? IT doesnt have any of the specs on it i bought it about 6 months ago for like 35 bux and never used it. I cant figure out how to make my pic small enough to post or i would post a pic of it....

If it ran off a 10-12V DC power adapter, then it should work in the car. As to making the pic small enough, try microsoft picture editor, you can resize it there in both pixels, file size or display size.

Well i am trying to hook this camera up to the pioneer 7500 and for some reason it is not working. i guess that the power supply doesnt work when i splice it into my power source. I think im just gonna go with one of the 45.00 ones on ebay....

Ok when i cut the power supply wire on the camera it has a bunch of wires coming out and then in the middle of those is a another wire with plasti loom on it. Do i have to ground one of these or what?
