The only rocks I got stuck Bigred were in the rear bumper area. But since the grey peices are only held on with tape I have been relluctant to go after it. SO I still have that slight buldge in the rear step. I have not noticed any other rocks in my cladding. However if I look hard enough I might find some. I guess another advantage to the Lift >:D

Think of it this way.... you brought back some souveniers from WW2002. >:D

On a serious note you might see about a vacuum cleaner(wet.dry vac) with a small attachment to try and suck out the rocks.

Try a shopvac and while your "sucking" out the rocks apply slight preasure with a soft pry bar on the cladding. BE CAREFULL. You dont want to dent the body or stress the cladding.

That is the way I got a few pebbles out from between my cladding and body!

i may have mis worded this a little... but the rocks are stuck IN-SIDE the cladding not in the cladding... like between the doors... the cladding and the sheet metal... all was fine till, yeah i hit my truck. (angry managment) and i heard all these rocks... so i went bagging around the truck and sure enough... rocks everywhere. it's bad.... i may have to invest in some new clips and take all the cladding off. :8:

BIGRED...how did they get in there?

I mean did the cladding become separated and they forced there way in there during your ditch crossing?

If they got in they should come out the same way......

check the pics from ALASKA av in his pic book he has pics of cladding removed maybe it will help ya....

The only location I have found on my vehicle where rocks like to hide are on the rear bumper and in the little recess at the front of the rear wheel wells. (And occasionally the back of the rear wheel wells.) After reading this post though, I will have to begin investigating the door cladding as well and bang around a bit.

They got in there so there must be a way to get them out. If they are all around, I would check to see if there is a tight seal on the bottom. Possibly when off roading the seal flexes enough to catch small rocks as they fly up while wheeling. Then closes before they all drop out.

You could always leave them there and just say its a huge rain stick! :D

While trying to apply the black vinyl to the lower, ribbed area of the doors this past weekend, I noticed that the bottom of the cladding is really not attached to anything. Red, try laying underneath your Av and pulling gently down and outward from the bottom edge of the cladding. Maybe you can coax some of your traveling friends out from whence they came!
