Roll Call

Hey all. I'm now one of those "contractors" working in Orleans and St Bernard parish.  YGMN, I have to agree with you, it will be a very  long time before even the basic essentials are restored down there.  I'm talking about reliable electricity, sewerage and telephones.  The office building we are working out of still doesn't have telephone service to it and it is on Bullard Ave.  I can tell you that what you see on the news and pictures don't do justice to the magnitude of the devastation that area took.  I have traveled most of St Bernard and Orleans parishes the last two weeks in my job and it still overwhelms the senses every once in a while.  I'm looking forward to getting off these 7-12's in a couple of weeks hopefully and maybe getting a day or two off every once in a while.  Well gotta go, hope to get back to the computer in a few days.
 
So still plenty of work for a couple of church groups to come down and help with huh?  My uncle was talking about bringing several men (with construction backgrounds and experience) and others (like me to do a lot of carrying and clean up) down to help out where we can. 
 
Finally got a day off tomorrow.  Home tonight and got a chance to get online.  We'll finally get off the every day work next week so will get a couple of days off every week or so.

Been down in your neck of the woods several times here last week or so.  Have you returned to NO East?  I know it hasn't returned to normal there yet, but some things are getting back on line.  If you are, or do come back soon, let me know and I'll try to catch up with you.

I have been back to NO east since Xmas.  finished inside already but haven't finish outside yet.  The community try to come back little by little.  People now try fix their house.  My house was one the first to finish with many helps.
 
Hey Kajun, I dont mind one bit doing something at my place in Louisiana but its just hard place to find LOL Its on the Black River lake close to Jonesville, LA

The store has been open for 3 months now.  My brother is working there now but I work for Lowe's now over Westbank since hurricanes.  Need health Insurance and 401K for my family.  How are you and your wife?

Things have been very slow in the Louisiana theads lately. Everyone doing thier own thing, I think the gas prices are have slowed activities.
I'm in Lafayette also. Keep us posted if you get the AV.

We have the Armed forces day (airshow/open house on Barksdale AFB) this weekend near Shreveport/Bossier if any one want to come up.  Maybe we can make a GTG out of it...
 
Well I get in Friday. (been home only 4 days last month) and my AV goes in Monday to get Gatorbacked! I can't wait. I can't wait to get back to modding. All this time offshore is making me batty. Only problem is I am only home for 1 week before going back out for 3 weeks...I think I need a vacation :D
 
We're here in Gonzales.  Long work hours and remodeling of the house is taking all of my time.  Hopefullly both will be over soon.
