Just realized what I have been feeling for the last year cleaning between the rubber molding and door bottoms on my 07 Av av. was the paint bubling on all four doors.  Took it to the dealer and at first got the 6 year RUST THRU spew.
He seen I wasn't very happy with a clean looking 62,000 mile LTZ.
In the following moments service manager came back with we are going to fix all four doors under warranty.  They had the truck for a week.  I had a Rental car and I was happy.
You could not notice any problems from the exterior.  Only after I had the weather stripping pop off while cleaning did I see the paint blistering.
The service manager in the body shop says they see about 20% of the Av's with this problem.  I would say those 20% are the one like me, who caught it before it was to late...
BEWARE

Thought GM had finally gotten a grip on this particular issue after many decades. I assume you drive in the rust belt or someplace with frequent on-shore ocean fog.

:( I'm going to have to replace the rocker panels. Rust is bubbling up on both sides of the back seats. They quoted me around 3 grand depending on what else they find. It's a 2002 and looks great until you open either of the back doors. I like the truck. Is it worth fixing or should I sell it?

That really depends on the value you see in the upkeep costs. For me, nothing can replace my Avy and I continue to do everything I can to fix and/or replace parts to keep it for as long as possible. I have to remind myself that it will never be brand new again nor does it need to be show car perfect. Do the best you can and get the most life out of it.
