Everybody, I've been looking for the thread, the LONG thread about the sagging panel problem and can't find it. I've even enlisted the almighty Goo and he coudn't either. The reason I need it is My third panel next to the tailgate is sagging slightly and I want it replaced. I took my AV in Monday to have the cracked rear window frame replaced and the service manager said he would have to order it and check with GM to see if there is any problem with the panel before he'll order it for me. I know some of you have had problems and some have even had them replaced so I could use some feedback here as to what all you had to do to get them to replace them for you. I only need one, but today is Wednesday and he said he'd call me and hasn't yet. I wanted to have some ammunition in case I need it. Thanks!!! :B:

OK ... lets get this clear ;)

I gave you the Warped Panels? topic and suggested you search for any other ones. I didn't try to find anything more than that. ;D

I know, I know, and I searched other names and still came up with nothing. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but at least I tried and I DID ASK BEFORE STARTING A NEW THREAD!! :B:

I took mine in for a leak in the bed area and the dealership replaced the #2 panel saying that the rubber seal had come loose and was the cause of the leak. After looking at the panel i could see no place where the seal was coming loose, but decided to let him replace it if he wanted to. They did have to order it and it took about 5 days to get it in. The new panel did not seem to fix the leak though. They would not let me keep the old panel, saying they needed to return it for the warrenty claim. The leak is a small one and is just in the bed area. For now i can live with it.
My #1 panel has a sag to. Sometimes it seems to sag worse than other times. It may have to do with temprature expansion. Good luck in getting your's replaced.

I commented (didn't really complain) that my third panel was sagging a bit. My dealer ordered a replacement and called me when it came in.

They had to do the install themselves and keep the old panel because it was a warranty replacement.

I was hoping to just pick up the replacement and have a "spare." Other than that I was completely satisfied with their service.

No questions asked, they just got me the replacement. (y)

I have noticed the texture of the underside of the replacement does not match exactly the other two original panels.

Another search techinque I use is to page back a page at a time until I recognize the thread or threads that may be relevant in a section...

Good Luck

Good Post Irontrain!!!!

Can you search for the meaning of life too? >:D

No need to search. Any good Hitchiker fan knows that the answer to "the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything" is... ?42

Now if we just knew what the question was... ?;D
