:woohoo: I just finally got around to doing my sail panel leds. It was very easy although it took me awhile as I am very anal about wiring my cars. I have them as brake and turn only which is how I like them and they are really cool. Can't wait till dark to check them out. I would like to thank all the members here for helping me complete another succesfull mod................Rich

Congrats, glad you were able to "git er done" with the help of this website.

Lets see the pix dude :D

I also just completed my led mod in the sail panels

i chose to not mess with the trailer harness cause i dont wanna risk an overload... my trailer has many lights on it

instead i ran my Pos led to the tail light, and the neg led to the signal

gives a nice wig wag effect to the leds, plus they're on full time till they blink

by not using a ground, or diodes (led is a diode) i got a really simple install and hopefully trouble free LED's

Glad you got it done, let us know if you have problems

you're cranking those mods out, keep up the good work!

So I have installed the LED's in my sail panels a while back. Just hooked them up as running lights but now I'd like to tie them into my signals and brakes as well. I've looked at the instructions for doing this but I'm not sure that I've wired mine up the same way. I have a positive and a ground running down each sail panel and all 4 LED's on each side are tied to those two wires. My question is: do the resistors and diodes have to be at every single LED or can I place diodes and resistors at the end of my 2 wires where they tie into the running lights, signal and brake lines? See the attached pic for an example of what I'm looking for. If I can just have them at that location, what size diodes and resistors will I need? I don't want to tear my sail panels apart again an add diodes and resistors at every single LED. Thanks for any help you can provide!
