Salt and the Avalanche? -Im just starting to learn

I live in Salt Lake City and I am thinking about buying a new AV. How does the body molding handle road salt? We have a lot of salt on the roads here during the winter. Most used cars 2 to 3 years old here in SLC look terrible. Anyone have any experiance with this? Is the modling easy to keep clean?

Also when you turn the AV into a truck where do the 3 bed cover panels go?

Also when you fold the seat down and take the windows out. what do you do with the cross bar that would lock the seat and hold the window when it's in place?

Thanks for your help

The AV holds up well in salt I would say. Chicago get's a lot of salt and nothing has happened to my cladding.

The bed panels go in back provided. The crossbar comes down with midgate once you remove window.

If you're talking about the cladding on the non-WBH version of the Avalanche, it's easy to keep clean. I don't have any personal experience with mine in salt though. I don't see why the cladding wouldn't hold up well in the salt, but what's behind the cladding might need a little attention once in a while.

Bed covers go in the bed cover bag that can hang in the side of the bed. I put mine underneath the EZSlider that I built to help get cargo in/out of the bed. The crossbar stays where it is when the window is in place and you drop the midgate. When you remove the window before dropping the midgate the crossbar drops with it. GM Magic.
