Could have been me, I live just off of 571 in Jackson but I pulled my ambers a while ago.

Hey Blue,

I am right off Whitesville Rd in Toms River, I work in Jackson.

I smell a small GTG....

My company just finished inspecting a road project on Whitesville Road for the County. The contractor took forever to complete the work!

Works for me. I'm near the Cassville Tavern - that might be a good place to hook up.

I spotted a Black Z-71 with ambers today on 33 in Hightstown around 3:45. Pulled up beside him at a light but he took off like he was in a hurry.

I am in Toms River all the time... NJ George, I am suprised that you havent seen me yet. I always shop at Lowes and Home Depot as well as places on route 37 and Hooper Ave.

NJ George,

I may have seen you on 527 around 9:30 Saturday morning (9-4-04) between I-195 and 528. Summit white AV, brush guard and amber DRL's is all I got to see. I flashed my high beams. Was that you?

I was on the GSP yesterday afternoon heading for AC. But didn't see anyone with AMBERs but ME!

How did you see your own ambers? ;)

I never see ambers. I pulled up past a slightly modified Av this morning on the way to work, but alas, no ambers. I should have know by the fact that the original dealer sticker was still on the tailgate...

I could see the reflection of my Ambers on the Car/Truck sitting in front of me in the Bumper to Bumper traffic Saturday.

As far as the Dealer Sticker goes, did I miss the Memo that said to take it off the Tailgate? Hmmm now that you mention it why didn't I think of taking it off? Should I guess, but too many higher priority projects to weed through right now. But it is now on the list, Thanks. By the way is that recognized as a "Mod"? If it is maybe the priority moves up, as a "Mod" is a "Mod" by gosh!

Hope everyone has had a fun 3 days off, I know I did. Oh by the way Welcome back to work, those of you working today.

Dan

Good question - I don't know if dealer sticker removal is considered a mod or not. I do know that for most CAFCNA members, removal of the sticker was the first thing done when the paperwork was finalized. The sticker takes away valuable space for exterior mods and would clash with many of them. In some cases, Av owners have told the dealer to either remove their sticker or not to put one on in the first place! For me, a hair dryer was the trick to removing it.

When I ordered my AV, I told the dealer to not put a decal on the rear of my new truck. I reminded them numerous times before the delivery of my AV. Of course when I picked her up, there was the dealer's f@*kin decal. :E: I was furious that they did not understand simple english. :7: As soon as I brought my Av home, the first mod that I did was the dealer decal removal mod.

Hey George

I know it wasn't me and so do you, I have a Black AV, so when are we going to get together? I thought you were going to Hooters on the 9 of Sept. Hows the modding going?

:B: :B:

Many members remove the white bulbs in their daytime running lights (DRLs) and replace them with amber (yellow) bulbs. It's usually the first mod done by CAFCNA members and allows us to immediately identify another member on the road. Some have even rigged their DRLs to be on full time.
