I'm thinking about a mod which may (or may not) require removing the front bucket seats. Chevy4x4 (Jon, is it?), thanks for the page about your console/carpet install. I have read it before and remember you from my early days at hanging around GMTC. BTW, some of your pictures on that page do not exist anymore or are mislinked for some reason.
Anyway, the original post was about removing the seats in a 2003. Mine is a 2002, and I want to make sure I don't set off any airbags. I've got the side ones in the seats. I won't be necessarily completely removing the seats, just lifting them up temporarily to work under there, so I don't think I will need to disconnect any of the many electronics (I have power, heated buckets) that sit under the seats--I know it's a zoo down there.
So if someone could advise of any preparatory steps (disconnect battery, disconnect fuse X, etc.) to take before taking stuff apart, I'd appreciate it. Also, it would be nice to know what stuff is gonna need resetting (like my factory radio), if the battery is disconnected for that long.
Thanks in advance,
Brendan
