Seats W/ Bowtie

I find the bowtie to be a source of pride. I imagine most of you see a dozen American flags flying in the air each day. And even without the flags, I doubt that any of you would question that you are indeed in the US. The Chevrolet bowtie is similar in a sense that it is not going, "Hey, you're driving a Chevy!"
 
Bowties ??? Do I have any bow ties on my AV ;)well only about 14...I did take off the bowtie hitch cover...do I get any brownie points for that ??? >:D

You could also visit an embroidery company and see how much they would charge to have the bowties made. In a worst-case scenario, purchase four Chevrolet caps with the embroidered bowtie and unstitch it from the cap. :)
 
I was feeling sad when I found out how many changes Chevy made to the Avalanche for 2003 until I found out that the bow ties were not going to be included. THAT WAS THE BEST PART OF THE INTERIOR! Like my name I am a Chevy Nut and the bowties on the seats remind me of my love for Chevrolet. Let the 2002 Avalanches with the Bow Tie Seats roll on. For the rest of you, talk to Lutz!

It's amazing after I read this thread how my bowties seem to really stand out now...I don't know if it's because I focus on them more often or what...but I like it....I like it a lot... :B:
 
After stepping out of a loaded 02 GMC 1500HD 4x4 Crew Cab, one of the things I really liked about the Av was the attention to detail. They really did a step forward in the Av compared to the pickups! The price was identical, yet Av was noticeably better.

Things I noticed:

Real dirt holding floor mats! The pickups were terrible.
Embroidered emblems on the leather seat. Nice.
A composite/Pro-Tec tailgate. $800 option on my truck.
Standard bedliner! $200 option on my truck.
Side impacts airbags. Not available on trucks.
Sunroof. Again, not available on trucks.
Protective Cladding. Unavailable on the trucks.
Articulating headrests. Don't believe were offered.
Built in toolboxes. Again, not offered.
Self draining bed. My truck was always filled with water.
Tonneau cover. Not available as a factory option.
Locking tailgate. Not available n the trucks.
Midgate! We won't even go there...

Things I miss?

My cassette deck player.

All in all I felt the Av was a much better deal $ wise. It was a no-brainer. A totally custom pickup at a standard price! :love:
 
Tiger, you can get a cassette deck for your Av.

It fits in the cubby hole in your console. ?Wiring harnesses plug right in to your factory radio.

Do a search in the audio/video section - several discussions on this some time back.

Most of us probably have about 18:

4 floor mats,
4 seats,
4 mud flaps,
4 wheel covers,
1 in the grill,
1 on steering wheel.

OK, so some of these are not gold. :rolleyes:

Did I miss any? ?Oh yeah , me - I'm usually in the driver's seat. ?;D

Other possibilities:
Tail pipe, antenna, window graphics, hitch cover....

Oh yea I did forget the 4 on the valve stem covers...sorry that makes 22
