and boy is my daughter upset with me.  She wants the truck when she learns to drive.  Problem is she is only 8.

After almost 6 years to the day I'm putting the Av up for sale.  Between the Suburban and the Av, the price of gas is killing us.  In January I started my own company and I'm fortuante enough to be in the position of having positive cash flow.  My accountant said a corporate asset such as a new car would be a good idea.

Yes, we have replaced the Av with an econo box.  A 2007 Beetle.  Yes, I know .....  at least it is a convertable.  And it has a whopping 150 horses.  I'm sure with a little tinkering, a few dollars here and few dollars there ....

Anyway, I'll have a few things from the Av that I will be taking off and putting up for sale.  Most I suspect will be offered up to the masses but the one item I thought I'd sell locally is the bed tray that I purchased several years ago.  It is still in real nice condition and is very useful so long as you aren't constantly moving rock, grass etc.  Anyway, I think most everyone in the NM club has seen it so, if you are interested, make me a reasonible offer.

As far as GTGs are concerned, I'm still up for a good time.  Teh club has been a bit lazy the past 18 months - everyone seems busy with families and careers.  It would be nice to have a good showing for the Oct Balloon Fiesta GTG.  Also, I was thinking about a GTG hike up the Sandias.

Anyway, verbally tagged someone in Las Vegas, New Mexico this weekend while pumping gas.  First time I've tagged someone in over  ayear. Didn't have any flyers.

sorry to see that you're selling your truck...

good luck

hang around and keep in touch

Sorry to see you having to sell the AV.  But like everyone else gas has been one of the biggest things, next to payments.  But Like they say, "Once an AV member always a member" regardless of what one drives.  I for one have not seen your bed tray, but was wondering what else are you removing from the AV?  Hope your little one understands, as my boys are the same way.  Hope things work out in the long run and you can once again get behind the wheel of an AV.

I've got the 02 Silverado cupholder mod that fits in the dash of the 02 Av - tan.
I've got the PIAA lights - 2 sets.
I've got Yakima rails for the stock roof rack.
I've got the ProCold air intake.
I've got a stock Alternator which I took out and replaced with a 180 Amp unint.? I might pull the 180 out and put the 130 back in depending if someone is interested in buying it.
I've got the Hypertech programmer.

Most of this stuff is best offer.? ?

For those of you wanting pictures. Close your eyes .... I'll try and post some later this week.

Sorry we son't be seeing you and the Av any longer. Thanks for getting the NM group together as often as you did. It appears as if there has been a real lack of AV owners in NM on the forum. Hope it isn't the end of get togethers!
