Hello all!! I wanted to ask my fellow Dever'ights if anyone else has had the issues that I have with the Service Department's at a couple of dealerships in Denver?? I have been to Medved many times...and they have sent me off the edge far too many times for me to say :7: (frankly I don't trust them with anything!!). I have tried Stevinson and John Elway...and I haven't been thouroughly impressed ??? . Just curious if anyone has any recommendations??

I take my Avalanche to Ed Bozarth Chevrolet in Lone Tree near Park Meadows for service. They do a very good job. It is close to where I live...Plus....there is a Starbucks near by to kill the time while you are waiting!

Sorry can't help you with any dealships north of Medved but my Medved expereince hasn't been terrible (maybe I just need more experiences to draw from):

+ They cut my keyblank (bought off eBay for a couple of bucks)for free. I just dropped in to the parts counter...

+ They programmed my extra remote (also bought off eBay, about $15) and my existing ones, for free. They did this as I dropped in to set up an appointment to have one of my seat belts replaced.

Buying my extra remote lead me to this site! I was looking for instructions to program the remotes because the ones that came with it didn't work for me and my google search lead me here!

- They took FOREVER to replace my middle rear seat belt. The cover had broken off of it so I was getting it replaced under warranty. How long could it possibly take to R & R a seat belt?

+ Gave me a card for a free oil change since it took so long to R & R the seat belt.

I sent good feedback for my service rep on the survey since the pluses outweighed the minuses. So far. I wasn't waiting at the dealership, for the seat belt R & R.

That dealership is less than a mile from where I work so it is just too convienent to utilize them!

Gotta get back to work!

I normally take my Av to Century Chevrolet in Broomfield. They made me mad once, so I took the truck to John Elway (I-25/Hwy36) and was extremely disappointed. Made me realize that Century wasn't so bad after all.

I've never had any experiences with the Medved fellas.

I had one bad experence with Century in Broomfield (closest to my house) as I waited 2 hours for an oil change and they still hadn't gotten to me. Had they not say "Oh, 20-25 min MAX!" when I pulled in, I wouldn't be as bothered.

Other than that my only other experence was with Mike Shaw down in Denver and they were great. I had a donut (OK, I had two >:D ) and coffee while they got me in and out before 8:00am one morning.

Oh, and on a related item at both places I asked parts dept. about Arrival blue paint (for my bow-tie and other projects) they didn't have it in stock and said they could not ship paint through the mail, so I would have to come back and pick it up. Guess what I got in the mail from GM yesterday - two packages of touch up paint. Through the mail...

I have not purchased a vehicle from anyone except the Burt Dealerships for quite some time. I did buy a Grand Cherokee from Emich but that is because burt did not have a Jeep Store at that time.
I have not had to use their Chevy shop yet but the Toyota Service garage was excellent.
I used to be a Cub Scout Den Leader and Burt let us use their Chevy shop for our Pinewood Derby for several years. They appear to be a top notch place.

If you don't need a Chevy Dealer shop I would recommend All American 4 Wheel Drive Repair on Norwwod Drive just off Santa Fe, south of C-470. 303-470-0286.
I do most of my own work and all of my own preventive maintenance because the fast lube places don't care about your vehicle. Anything I can't handle I take to All American, they are the best and most knowledgeable shop I know of.

Good Luck!!

I would not recomMend Davidson Chevrolet :D: in Loveland. Numerous trips and days with wife's new 03 LT Tahoe last summer had us very frustrated :E: :7:. I also had my 02 Trailblazer's transmission serviced there. I was on the road at 8:30 AM & later that afternoon I noticed a puddle under front of vehicle when I pulled into Castle Rock. They left out an O ring :8: :7:when they hooked up the lines after the service.
Long story short transmission started to act up with-in 2000 miles and I was told nothing was wrong with it (again :E: ).
After writing this post I see that I now should not be upset :9: at this dealer but I should thank ;) them for getting me to look at the AV and purchasing it from another (y) dealer. They will never see anoter $$$ :8: from me.
BUT I MUST THANK THEM ??? FOR BEING THE CATLYST TO GET ME IN MY AV!!!!

Fellow Avers: I highly recommend you take your Avalanche to any Cadillac dealership for maintenance or even warranty items. I take the Ghost machine to Ocean Cadillac in Bay Harbor Islands, FL and have had nothing but great things to say about them. I'm sure the Caddy dealer near you would give the same level of service.... After all, the EXT is the Av's rich uncle...

COLOAV, have you tried the Chevy dealerhip in Windsor? I have not been there, but liked dealing when I was looking for my truck.

Blue_03,
I have not tried them. I've heard mixed results about them. I have a freind that bought a 02 3/4 ton 4X4 Silverado from them & has had it to two other northen CO dealers after :E: having issues with them over a trnasmission problem. Same results at the other two also (one was the same one :D: I listed in earlier post).
I'm using the dealer where I bought the AV (so far all is well).
I've only used them for oil changes on this vehicle. I had issues here a few years ago on a service problem with a new Suburban. I am watching things real close. I'm keeping my fingers crossed because this dealer is handy for both the AV & Tahoe service issues.

Have you heard any thing about Purifoy Chevrolet in Fort Lupton?

Thanks for the tip Ghost. The Caddy dealer in northern CO is also the Chevy dealer where I purchased my AV. They have one shop that services both brands. So far no problems at this dealer ;D.
