Our first meet and greet was at Bosco's Bones Brew in Sunol, CA on Saturday August 10th. We were joined by two other Av's; BigredZ71 from Santa Cruz area, and Hultzger (with family) from Martinez which made 10 people altogether.

Bosco Bones Brew was centrally located and had a one of a kind atmosphere, with exceptional food! Also saw Bosco on the bar filling somone's mug with his fresh brew. >:D We met the owner (Mike) who by the way, owns an Avalanche himself in Alaska! We gave him a brochure and invited him to check out the CAFCNA website. ;D

We discussed future events, and came up with some ideas: an offroad trip to Hollister Hills, and a get together at a drive-in movie theatre.

We enjoyed getting together and look forward to future events.

Hopefully our next meet everyone will be able to attend.

We are definitely planning for the Bay Area Av's to travel together up to WW2002! Anyone who would like to join us, let us know(CAFCNA_SF@sbcglobal.net). We plan on leaving at around 5-6am on Thursday the 22nd.

It's going to be AVtastic!! (y) (y)

Cool is it 1500, or 2500. What do you have on it because maybe I'll make mine sort of like yours. I mean like the lift and wheels and how much was the painted cladding? Mine is black and I have nothing on it. I don't even have plates on it yet. on it. It has the temp plate Again SWEET truck.

It is a 1500 and painted cladding cost about $1500. You could probably find someone to do it for less though as mine was done by the dealer. The paint has held up very good. When we went offroading the body paint scratched but the cladding stayed free.

a year ago I moved down here to Burbank (in SoCal) from Fremont (in NoCal). ?A friend of mine in Sunol and I started a Bay Area (Porsche) Boxster "club" called the "BABBLERS" (Bay Area Boxster Board ListERS). ?You can find the online forum at www.BABBLERS.org/board.htm and it's one of the best Boxster Web sites. ? Anyway, we used to meet at Jack's Brew Pub in Fremont (off the Mowry exit near Fremont Blvd.). ?

I'm encouraged to see Av folks getting together and meeting face-to-face. ?There's nothing like sharing the joy and fun of vehicle ownership. ?And I'm very psyched about this forum - it's great even if you call them "mods" rather than "hacks" as we Boxster owners call them. ? >:D

I'm now a "waiter" (waiting for my Av) and I do have a request for FlyNhigh - would you please share information on your Av with me? ?I'd like to know what lift kit is on it as well as the wheel and tire info (brand, sizes, etc.)

Your truck looks great - I'm guessing you're running a Rancho lift kit based on the red color, but I'm not sure.

Thanks for sharing and congrats on your get-together!

MagicMtnDan,

I am running a 4" Rancho Lift . I have 305/70-16 Pro Comp Mud terrains on American Eagle Wheels.

and I love my AV

P.S. I heart Magic Mountain too
