Shift Lever doesn't go into Park

I have an '02 Z71 and I'm having trouble with the shift lever going into and coming out of Park.  When I try to go into Park I have to wiggle the shifter front and back in order to shut the ignition off. When coming out of Park I have to wiggle shifter as well. Sometimes it takes 2-3 minutes of palying with it to get it to work!

I would hope he would know to push the brake, every car is like that. Oh well, hope this works.

Just here to give advise, not necessarily the correct advise.  THough I do try.  Then again it has been proven sometimes it is the most obvouse thing that is overlooked.

The actuator/Solenoid can go bad. And the brake switch cam go bad.
