I might be loosing it.
Searching the threads it seems nobody has seen this issue.
2006 1500 4WD LT
Project: Front end rebuild

The new lower control arms do not allow the shocks to bolt into the towers. The bump stop on the arm prevents the shock from rolling back far enough.
If you put new/old arms side by side on the ground with shocks bolted into the arms the top of the shock is allowed to travel inward 4 inches more with the OEM original arm compared to the after marked arm.
I've compared two different after market arms with same results. Both are steel. Same shocks.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

That what I thought.
I double checked the order. Said it should fit.
The upper control arms and tie rod ends are a match.
I did notice that the part number in the order began with a “K” and the part I received began with an “X”. X620380
I called Detroit Axel. They said they would send the one with a K but then someone else from Detroit Axel emailed me and said it was the same part. The new part received doesn’t have any numbers stamped on it but looks the same and has the same issue.
I took the new part and my OEM original to Auto Zone. Same issue with the Auto Zone part.
So I’m at A lose.
Looks like I’ll be reconditioning the OEMs and reinstalling those.

how about some pictures?

I’m not sure how. I tried the attach pic icon but it gives me an insert http://. Not sure how that works

Did you end up reconditioning the oem or did you find the control arms that matched your vehicle's?
