What does everyone think? I certainly get more looks with them on ;D

(the images are in the following post.)

P.S. they might be magnetic, but I ain't telling. >:D

They are groovy, but they would be groovier if you turn the peace signs right side up. LOL

what does that bumpersticker say? "If you can read this call a tow truck" ;D

Hey , It's a retro look.... I grew up in the 60's ... I'm used to it. ;D

This reminds me of that Picante commerical where that guy is using hot sauce made in New York City, and one cowboy says " Get a me rope".

That sure is a pretty blue sky in the background!

Yea, it was a great day. I went out to Lake Travis to take the photos. Spent the next couple of hours driving around the lake wondering why I don't go fishing any more. :cautious:

But no changing the subject ;)

I buy Pace when I don't know who's coming, and anything made in Texas otherwise. So no need for a rope. ;D

I think those are cool decals but on the wrong platform.

To me the Avalanche doesn't fit the profile, that your decals project. I'm not sure if that made sense or not...lol, but anyway. Perhaps if you used brighter decal colors!!!! The SOM drounds out the decals.

Nice AV!!!

Those decals on an Av are fitting for a movie scene or for a business advertisement. Otherwise...... :cautious:

Actually it's pretty ironic to put retro decals on a vehicle that didn't come out until the 21st century!

Is that spot near the Dam, right across 620 from the Entrance to LCRA? Looks like the same spot where I'v taken pictures of a few of my Trucks. Nice Av - IMO lose the decals.

Yep, that is the spot. As you head for the entrance to Mansfield Dam Park, you turn right instead to the over look. I took the photos at the top of that little hill. It's a great spot, I'm glad I remembered it. I was going to try and take the photos from a spot downtown where I could get the Capitol in the background, but there were cars parked in my way.

To rtagd and others that I caused an upset tummy, I apologize. I should have had a warning. ;)

Austin Power's Next Ride. All it needs now is Shag carpeting and Hydraulics! (y)

Man I didn't think about Austin Powers. I'd rather see Austin Powers riding an Av than those evil twins riding an EXT in the 2nd Matrix.

I agree, but truth is I'm a mixed platform. The environmentalist in me is still not happy with the mpg, but the guy that wears boots and Wrangler jeans is real happy.

Sorry!

Man, I hate to see a ?big dog? cry! It just ain't right. I'll take them off big guy.

OK, here?s the story (especially since the poll got locked out and not by me, not sure what happened).

A lady at work decided to play a joke on me by putting the orange and black decals on my Truck (they were the colors that matched best.) But they didn?t bother me. I drove around town for a week with them on. I think I almost caused an accident when a driver tried to make a left turn and point out my Truck to a passenger.

Decided to do a photo shoot with all the decals just to see the comments. In truth, it?s possible that in 10 years this Truck will have flowers on it. I gave my previous vehicle (Cherry Red ?92 Nissan Sentra) to a friend that is a real hippy chick. A week after taking possession of my car she had sprayed green flowers on it. So I figure in 10 years I?ll be in a new Truck and she?ll be spray painting green flowers on my old Av. :D

Peace, Love, and Mod'ing

Well...

The flowers kinda remind me of those things you stick on the bottom of your tub so you don't slip. ;)

But whatever floats your boat man! ;D

Weird. I can't see my last post and I can't see the post by Kim.

Anyway, here's what my Truck looks like now. But I'm going to keep the decals for special occasions. >:D

Let's keep thinking Peaceful and Groovy thoughts as we cruise and mod our Trucks.
