Please post pics of your exhaust tips to help me with this insanity. I finally decided on the Magnaflow 14589, after hearing it on Jamie's post), but I'm lost again on the tip. Is 12 inches long enough to cover the entire tailpipe? Should I go slash or round, rolled or straight cut? ??? ???
I am liking the Gibson rolled edge 3"in and 4"out 12" long SS tip, but I wanna see what y'all are runnin'.

Thanks, Ron.

Ron, and others, I re-recorded my "audio" clip as the original wasn't that great - too much ambient noise plus wind noise. So here's an even better clip. Ron, I got her up to 2 grand on the first rev and 4 grand on the second rev and it sounds sweet ?>:D

Jamie's Magnaflow

Also Jamie sweet audio vid :B:

Thanks Kevin. The other one was OK but was a little drowned out by the nearby highway noise, as it was evening rush hour, plus a lot of wind noise.

The new file is much cooler :B:

Hey Jon, your AV is pretty sweet, the tires are mean lookin' as well as the tips. >:D I definately do not want to be a car at a light when you pull up. Tips look cook dumping out the sides behind each tire. (y)
Kevin, the rolled tip is sweet also, I might be leaning towards that way since it is more stylish and less aggressive.
Jamie, oh HELL YEAH on the new vid. That rev to 4G's was wicked, how many of your neighbors are pissed at you now?
Down here in Southern Cali, everybody runs the Flows and I just don't want to sound like everyonelse. Not that I don't like the sound but everyone has it also. The 40 series are really popular down here and everything from Silverados to Tacomas to H2's and Camaro's and Mustangs sound alike. I do have to admit, the Magnaflows are popping up everywhere in all the muffler shops, so in a few years, when we all get the new generation AV or whatever is out, we will be doing this again asking which exhaust to run.
Thanks guys for all the help and I'll be posting pics as soon as the job is done.

Actually, that's the beauty of the Magnaflow. It's sound just doesn't seem to carry as far. No one was outside when I did that and the neighbors are on a cruise. Plus I was half-in my garage.

Hey Ron!
In case you didn't see my install pics, here is the tip I got as part of the group buy. It is a Magnaflow 12x3 rolled-tip pipe:

Whoa.....after looking at jamie's pics.....him and my mom must have been related in a former life.....I noticed the Ward Burton decals on the back, my mom's Tahoe is covered in Ward Burton decals and she got for Christmas a pit crew shirt, #22 polo shirt, license plate frame, bumper sticker, and CAT pens....

She's gonna love the AV pic when I e-mail her the link....

;D

Yep! For Christmas, I got a black Cat Racing/Burton Polo, Cooler, T-shirt and even an 18" stand-up for next to my desk!

Your mom has good taste!

Jamie

Am I the only one grinning about the subject? ;D

It reminds me of my trip down to FL for spring break... All ya heard was, "Show us your tips!"

I didn't know so many girls loved to install exhausts on their cars! :2:

Anyway...

I don't have a pic of my actual exhaust installed, but it does look exactly like the one attached. Minus the fact that I have mine angled to follow the lower line of the cladding.

You can also click on my link below and then go to the Niagra Creek shots. ?There are a couple of shots there with my back end exposed showing the tips ?as well as the routing of the exhaust.

you just replace the "link" words with "url" then it will work.

... and remove the spaces before the HTTP and after the link around the square braces. Corrected it.

(Just call me politically incorrect)

I bet I have one you don't have! I just had my local Meineke install a stainless steel Denali tip and I must say it looks great! I will try to post a pic tomorrow as it was dark when I got home. I havn't changed the muffler yet, just can't make up my mind what one I want. I was sure I wanted the Magnaflow and this muffler shop showed
me the Vortex Hi Flow. It look very well made and I heard it on a new F**D with a small V8. It sounds GREAT and it is not loud inside. I want to check and see what you guys think of them before I decide.
