I have an 02 AV w/Cladding and one of the early Line-of-Fire light bars on my AV. Needless to say, it's seen better days...

I'm looking to replace it with one of the new dual or triple row light bars but there are so many and most don't do a very good job with photos or videos to show what they do.

So here's your chance to help a guy out AND show off all at the same time! Please post your photos and videos!

:help:

This is the light bar I've had for the last 8-9 years.

I too would like to get one of these bars.. I want one that shows yellow/orange for turn signals and red for stop and "running lights".  I have considered making my own with an Arduino and an addressable RGB light strip. But if I did that I would probably put one behind the grill too and make my truck a true "knight rider" truck...

But would like to see what options are out there before I look into doing something else.

I thought of making one also but haven't been able to find a water weather/proof way to mount them.

I have found serially addressable RGB sealed strips with adhesive backing but they are limited to 3' in length max. Would stick on like any other light strip but would need to be controlled by an Arduino or similar.

Guess AV guys don't like to show off like they used to...

@old skool, that single string light bar looks similar to the one I have. But moisture has intruded over the years and some of the LEDs are out. Looks like your is still going strong!

I like the new triple row bars but I don't think the gap between the top of the bumper and the bottom of the tailgate is wide enough to see a triple row bar, unless I mount it on the tailgate itself which I didn't really want to do. Will probably go with a dual row version. We'll see.

Opt7 has a really nice fire and ice bar. I bought one for my ex-GF's truck and it is way better than a sealed tube. It was an epoxy coated circuit board that was flexible.
It was installed 2 years ago and still going strong. No moisture intrusion and looks as good as the day installed.

I'm surprised it has lasted this long...and not a single led has gone out.

I have a fire and ice and yellow turn signal bar for my truck.. I just took the tail gate off to look where the best place to mount this sucker. When I did it on my now ex's truck it was easy to mount to the bed. My First Gen truck doesn't seem to have a nice lip to attach it to. Are you guys just mounting it to the bumper?

Ok thank you. That's what I meant bumper cover.

Is yours taped or bolted to it? Mine had the double sided tape on the back of it but it also came with clips and screws to bolt it on too. The one on my ex's truck was stuck directly to the steel. I would be sticking to the cladding so I am not sure how well it will stick. Although I guess the center cladding piece is held on partially with the same tape.

I used the included screws and clips. The way it's mounted, you can hardly tell it's there until it light's up.
