Would this tire and wheel set be a dead fit and the correct height for my 08 LTZ currently running 275/55R20
From CL ad "Like new set of (4) wheels/tires from 2017 GMC Sierra. Tires has less than 2k miles on them. Tires are Bridgestone Dueler AT size 265/70/17"

I would really like to have the taller tires and smaller wheels.

Just found a tire calculator, Looks like around 1/2 mph error at 60mph and even at 100 mph less than 1mph error. So good enough on that.

I've only owned the 08 a couple of weeks but the thin tires aren't growing on me. I'm old enough to think a truck should have more rubber between the wheel and the road I guess.

Will they clear the brakes parts?

That's a concern. Was hoping someone here would know. According to codes 17" spares were used in 2008. Unless I put one on in the parking lot where the seller wants to meet, I'll be making a $750 gamble.

Thanks for the likes! I'm very pleased with them and sold the originals the next day on CL. Recovered 75% of the cost of the newer set and better tires.

Those wheels look pretty sharp for OEM take-offs, and none of the cheap chrome to flake off later either which is a bonus.

Ava looks awesome.

I have original 2005 Ava. W 16” ugly wheels and want some cool takeoffs similar to yours. What truck wheels will fit on my Ava. Year models that is.

Thank You
Allan

Thanks, Mine is an 08, I was told these came from a 2022. Ink was still on the tires. Guy must have had over 500 sets. Said he buys by tractor trailer load. I have no idea how that market works but at 1000 I was happy. He is in Sneedville TN. Kevin Marion on marketplace if you are close to East TN.. And yeah I like them a lot, Liked the other set of Sierra wheels better than the originals. I think 17 was as small as I could go, you may go smaller wheel and bigger tire, maybe. This is a nice tool https://tiresize.com/comparison/
