I checked the Sylvania application guide and they don't list a bulb # for the high beams. The manual says 9011 and several posts I have read say 9005. Is the 9005 a "close" replacement because Sylvania doesn't make the correct bulb? I want the most lighting performance I can get and want to be sure I'm doing the right thing. Thanks for all the info I'm sure you will provide.

This is covered in many other topics. The 9005 will fit, and works well.

The only caveat is that it may be a little loose in the socket. Some have used a bit of duct tape as a shim. Others, including myself, have just tightned up the screws around the socket (a half turn or so) until they are snug, but the bulb can still turn.

I am running the silverstar highs-
nice white, bright lights-
looking to do the 4 on at all mod as well.
My bulbs went in, fit snug and stay focused-
easy....

Installed the 9005 Silverstars, 885 fogs and 4157KNA DRL's about 10 minutes ago.

Timed... Took all of 20 minutes to do all lamps and

YES..... The 9005 Silverstars snap right in. If they are loose, take a T-15 torx driver, give the (3) screws about 1/2 turn and Whallah!! (I think that's how you spell that), Instant lighting upgrades.

I love the way all (4) light buckets just snap and pin right out and in .. ;D ;D

One thing I did, (and you might not want to be this anal) is that I used some of those cheap "exam" gloves before I started changing lamps out. They keep the oil from your hands off of the lamps.

Now all I have to do is wait for my 5200K "Misterjung's" HID kit for the lows and it's "off-to-wiring-mod" time for some more "lamp" control.

Just did this replaced the lows and the highbeams. I did need to tighten down the bracket and worked like a champ. Also replaced the fogs with 50watts (885s) This also made a huge differance. I also heard talk about replacing the backuplight with 50 watts Is it the same bulb(885s) Does anyone have this info thanks.

I did the 885 fogs and the Silverstar low beams as well. Couldn't be happier. On one of the low beams I used the o-ring off the original to make it a little tighter. The other side was fine.....

There was a few posts in another thread about that. Others have just used the old "O" ring and slipped it over the new globe in addition to the existing "O" ring. Most report that it has worked quite well.
