Silverstars & My Wife...

On a whim, I picked up a set of silverstars for the low beams on Friday night.

Now, you must realize that my wife and I have set a tight budget for ourselves so we could afford the Av (and my going back to school)...so we have limited weekly funds.

So I spend the $53.00 for lights and tax, and put them in.

Whoops...not $50 dollars worth of 'brightness' for me or my wife....spend the weekend saying " I'm Sorry...I promise the next mod will be better "

I'm sure most of you are happy with them, but I don't think they are the most bang for the buck...IMHO

I agree......for $50 you could get amber DRLs

Reflective tape and cut out some letters...

Maybe a front license plate or new trailer hitch receiver....

Save your money and buy her flowers!

Since she works for 3M, I'm hoping she'll get us a good deal on some reflective tape!

Hmmm . . . guess I'll stick with the stock lights then. Are the Silverstars more of a color change than a brilliance change?

Ouch . . . I feel your dissappointment . . . can you take 'em back?

I doubt I can take them back...torn the package all to hell...

They are brighter, and yes the color isn't yellowish like stock...just not a $50 buck diff to me.

Although after the install, I drove to a construction site (mild off-roading) to show my wife " See how much better we can see in the dark?#@$@" -I didn't convince myself either...

But I did do what most on this forum are saying about off-roading...bent the trailer plug up nicely (and silently cleaned the hitch that had become plugged full of dirt after we got back home )

Move the Trailer plug...that is a cheap on if you have the 2" hole saw.......

she works for 3M .........hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....Detailing supplies.....Microfiber towels, Perfect-It II polish, hmmmmmm

Note to self: Must make good with Bisquicks wife for a chance at free stuff Kidding....no go buy her flowers and cruise around one night.

Yeah i had silverstars, and returned them. Not worth it, plus i found better for half the price. Only catch techinally they are illegal, but no cop will give you truoble for them umelss you piss them off. There almost blue and really bright white. They are made by APC, they are theones that all the ricers put in, they work good. They are 25 bucks for 2 not one, liek the silverstars. I used the other money to get the matching hi beams.
