Skid Plate Package Listed In Accessories Catalog

My understanding is that the skid plat package is the same group that you get with the Z71 package.

My Av came as a non-Z71, I added the skid plate package as I am an offroader. The package consists of two skid plates, oil pan and tranny I think. (It was a while ago when I put them on).

I was skidding on them yesterday, actually. Bent my trailer plug mount plate, again- that baby needs to be relocated.

I just ordered the skid plates from my dealer and will install the plates in two weeks.

Does anyone have information on relocating the trailor plug to the bumper?

I wish GM would have put the hitch plug where the spare tire key is.

There is a thread a this very topic. Do a search for relocating the trailor plug and be sure to change the search days to at least 200. ;)

Look for timcosco he started the thread but gave credit to xrover.... >:D

Here is the link to the trailer plug relocation thread.

The accessories and parts list in the Fan Club's "Resources" section indicates that the skid plate package (GM Part No. 12496034) adds more protection to Z-71 Avalanches. Does the package contain anything that isn't already on a Z-71?
