what is the smallest profile tire you can "safely" run with a 22" wheel?  Not too worried about the speedometer being off.  I want to get rid of lots of rubbing without raising the Av or going back to a smaller wheel.

current set up:  305/40/22's with about a 4"+/- drop.

going back up isn't an option and smaller wheel/tire combo will be a last resort.

I like these. 265/35/22's. They look like about the same size sidewall as Tommy has.

yeah, I think that looks about the same.  I think I might go a lil wider though.

hmmm, the 265/35/22's would give me lots of extra clearance.

1.15" smaller radius and nearly 1.6" narrower.  That'll be lots of clearance.

i think this is the perfect size for a lowered av since our problem with the clearance is not the height but the width... you might still be ok with the 285 series but im just not sure... good luck

They look sweet on your AV.

gonna see if one of my coworkers can get me a good deal on a set of tires.  if not, I guess I'll be hitting ebay this week.

why dont you try craigslist.com? that is where i get all my good stuff... got my rims there with tires for $1000 with only 1 month of use... try it and you might like it plus they are all local... just pick your city

Good idea on Craigslist..  I have bought and sold many things there already...

I'd go with these. Great colors. Nice and thin. Feel the road.

Shayne..can you get those in all blue for Tango..are maybe dark blue in the middle and baby blue sidewalls

If I run across some tires that "purdy" I'd keep 'em for myself.

trimmed?? no.? Rubbed huge holes in my wheel well?? yeah.? I have about a 2X8" hole in the plastic where it rubs

Good I am not the only one. I have 305/45/22 stock height mine rub when I turn or mostly when I turn in reverse. It sucks when backing out of a parking spot and the tire scraping makes everbody turn around.

finally ordered the 265/35/22's.  I know its a small tire, but hopefully it will give me the extra clearance I want/need.
