Anyone up for a lunch GTG at Smashburger in Elk Grove.  It's a new place that just opened up and from what I hear it's pretty good.  Line out the door good.  They are a national chain.  In California they have a couple of location in the Sacramento area and a few in Socal.

If you're interested, meet up at the Elk Grove location at 11:30 on Saturday, March 3.

I just had to post in this thread. I guess I'm the last surviving member. I still have my Avalanche today. Here it is getting the HVAC system diagnosed. Turns out the problem is a mode actuator.

Hello from San Diego. I had a similar issue a few months ago -- hot air blowing on passenger side and nice cool air on driver. I had to replace the passenger actuator and what a joy of a project that was ;) Mind you, it wasn't especially difficult (as I decided to go with the duct cut and mend approach). No, what sucked was my baked dash cap exploded into a million pieces (ok it was more like 5) as I was carefully trying to place it into the bed of the Avalanche. I had to go to eBay to get a replacement which meant something that was supposed to take part of an afternoon instead took 10 days. Oh well, she's back together now and blowing cool all around. I hope your repairs went smoothly. Cheers.

Hi,
For anyone actually still looking at this thread, I still have my Avalanche. I recently added new wheels and tires. Before that I added a GM SiriusXM radio antenna. It's nice listening to satellite radio in the truck for a change.

Next week I'm having the heavy-duty Rare parts inner and Moog outer tie rods installed.

Hi,
I had the Rare Parts tie rods installed. I don't any difference in steering but the parts are quite a bit more solid than the stock ones. I also had the rear axle bumpers replaced. I tried to do it myself, but those are a real pain trying to do them on the driveway.

My next projects are the RedArc dual battery install and Suspension Maxx levelling kit ( suggested by a CAFC member) and wheel spacers.

I need to find someone that can do the DC power in the bed of the Avalanche.
