Snowmobile Ramp For Avalanche??

C

Costco

GUEST
Hi all, I'm looking to buy or build a ramp so I can transport my snowmobile with my Avalanche. Would like to hear your thoughts. Steve

Are you sure you don't want to just pull a trailer? You only have five feet or so with the gate up.

I loaded two on a trailer with no problems and no mess. Even with a ramp the steep incline will make loading a chore. Unless of course you always find a nice high snow bank. Then just ride it in.

I agree that a trailer is best but if you just want to load up one- Home Depot has a Ramp that looks like 3 short ladders that fold up.This is what I use to load my ATV and as already stated you need to decrease the incline by about 6" if not you could be on the bottom of your snowmobile. This ramp is easy to walk up and store. It also has 2 chains that you can hook on the tailgate cables so the ramp does not side out at top lip.

Costco - you might also check with the guys on Snowest.com forum

Some of the guys have Av's and others just like to bash the AV - they are a frisky bunch :)

Kicking on a old thread..

But I wanna show you what I got the other day

It's mainly built by aluminum tubes with glass fiber coating.
Made by a Swedish company.
Haven't tried it yet - only seen it on film but I believe in this.

Ask for Gregg, Mike or Bill.  If they don't have what you are looking for in stock, they might be able to custom build something for you.

*While I don't get commision or anything for recommending them-it is job security for me.  (I work there-however I do not know prices) Tell'em Woody sent ya (brownie points for me!)  (y)

Yes-this is a shameless plug-how else am I to afford mods on my Avy? lol ;D
