For those of you with 07's and 08's that want a Snugtop, the 06 and earlier one is not compatible with the newer Avs.

However, they are now making a Snugtop for the new body style, so you are in luck

trying to revive the thread...  still don't know what the actual differences are for fitment of the snugtop between GMT800 and 900...

The piece on the top of the tailgate is different, only difference in the snugtop, is the back window.

Need some help guys so I'm not trying to figure this out when I'm holding the snugtop over my head trying to install it.

Please help asap if you can.

is this mounted to the inside of the snugtop over the 3rd brake light chismal??? Does it bolt on? Tell me anything you can about it and post a picture how that piece mounts.

Thank you!!!!

Taking a poll of how many Avs are still out there with Snugtops.

I have had mine for many years and absolutely love it...allows me to carry much more stuff, protect it from the elements, and still have a midgate for when I need it.  Great for long trips, camping, etc.  Mine has a light in it too, so I really like that.

I have one.  I switch often between it being on and off.  It definitely adds another level versatility to the Swiss Army Knife.  One of these years when  redo the bumblebee, I'll probably hit the cladding with bedliner.  I'll hit the top with bedliner and the top rails with body cover yellow.

Is that a pair of vice-grips on the struts??  I did that for years until my wife let the window hit her.  Found a pair of struts on Amazon for around $20.00.  Happy wife Happy life.  I have a 2002 AV and bought my Snug Top (from a Snug Top dealer) in 2003.  Stopped water from getting in the cab.  Never had it off, never had a leak.  If whatever doesn't fit in the bed, I'll use my trailer.  Best accessory I ever bought for the AV.    Cheers Bob

Yep, it sure is.  I don't have the top on all the time so I haven't made the effort to replace the struts.  Do you by chance have a link the struts you bought?  I'll be putting it back on around Thanksgiving to move my daughter back from her current co-op assignment.
