There was a large collection of goodies, who got what?

And even more importantly, how did things tally out for the charitable side?

Yeah not alot of noise coming out of the Nationals. Well besides a few breakdown threads. Whats up?

Sounds like Todd is stuck in Cheyenne with a blown tranny, apparentley no cell connection, (I've tried to call and text) and no laptop connection.
I'm sure once he gets his communication devices up and running he will post the winners.

Do I still get a T-shirt  :needhug:

"I didn't go to CAFCNA Nationals and all I got was this stinking t-shirt!"  :D

do we need a thread asking what tow company/dealership everyone used for their trip home?

starting to sound like more Av's than anything were hauled home..... or left.

I feel bad I had to back out last minute and even worse for those that had mechanical problems on the way home. I'd much rather it was me broke down. I'm laughing just thinking about calling my boss from a few states away, "I'll be there as soon as I can get there."

I am curious how we did on total donations and who got cool prizes

Damn, hadn't heard about Todd being broke down... wonder if he had to get one of those big rig tow trucks to drag him off?

The final tally wasn't quite complete, but the total going to the charity was right around $10,000!

Darla and Mrs LakeFX were keeping good notes on who won what, so I am sure that list will be published once Todd & Darla get home.

I'm guessing they will welcome the club back again  (y)

Hauled home a 07 smooth panel kit very slick and a STICKER ,

The GTG was a success...all you had to do was see those kids faces light up when we handed out the toys and bikes. As was said pretty close to $10,000.00 was raised.

The children's home director Darla was overwhelmed by the whole thing. When she was thanking the enture group, she couldn't hold back the tears... and there were quite a few misty eyes in the crowd. SHe encouraged everyone to stay in touch and to stop by if we were back up that way. I hope this is the sort of charity that is selected for furute events. A big foundation is helpful and all... but you can't beat being there face to face with a kid you just made smile!

I want to thank grnxnam, DUNE, Mr. Smith, BlueDevil, Tommy and a few others...............................................

Sure they do.  I won the Old Timer award for having the oldest purchased AV at the GTG.

Also, in the raffle, won a $50.00 gift sertificate for Oviedo Safety Lights, one pair of Chrome Fender Vents from Supermobiles Avalanche and Accessories web store, 3 Chevrolet blankets and an AV load of event stickers.  (y)

In the silent raffle I won an very cool US Speedo brushed stainless guage face for my insturment cluster....installed, thank you very much.  :D

And, I made lots of bids on several other items to help push the dollar amounts through the roof.  At one point I was well over $500.00 in bids and my wife was forming a team of bouncers to keep me away from the table.  Thankfully I only won one item on the silent auction, but the money was going to a great cause and I would have paid more if I won more.

InResponse those are sweet I have one, what color needles do you have

Whenever you're stuck near Douglas, WY I can recommend Russell's Towing!? <SIGH> I guess I can download the pictures of my AV on the tow truck...? :(

I have the red needles with the red backing.  The stainless looks great during the daylight and the red glows really cool at night.  I think I need to paint the tips of the needles white though, they are a bit difficult to read at night.

I got a CAFCNA supporting membership certificate, a Chevy calendar, a Chevy blanket and STICKERS!

The wife got a NorthFace/Chevy Avalanche water proof duffle bag, a Chevy blanket and STICKERS!?

We also won a personalized bottle of wine w/ glasses and a blue afghan blanket in the silent auction.

Oh and did I mention...

? STICKERS!!!
