SoCal MEGA Meet IV

1st - Thanks for all the pics! Sorry I couldn't make this one.

But a question: On the FOTKI pics - where are all the people? Seriously! What did you do - make them all stand behind you when you took the pic?

That's funny :)? Actually, Cindy is right...almost everyone was up at the picnic area and I actually made a point of not getting anyone in the pictures.? There were some folks walking around, I believe Supermobile was inspecting the vehicles to determine awards, but I waited until they passed by to get photos of just the vehicles.? I incorporated people later on in the shots, but my main focus (no pun intended) was to get the vehicles only.? Those trucks were hot :)? Sorry if it looked like the event was abandoned, but I assure you, it was far from it.? Lots of folks walking around, kids playing, dogs barking :)....

Great meeting you too Cindy.? Sorry I couldn't stay long...had some stuff to do with my motorcycle club, but I definitely wanted to see all the trucks, particularly the folks that made the long trek from AZ.? I'll definitely be there for the entire event next year.? Looked like a lot of fun.? Oh...before I forget...something funny when I came in the park gate.? I rolled up and the guy asked, "Are you here with the Avalanche party?" and I asked where everyone was.? He replies, "Second parking lot on the right....there's a whole lot of 'em...you CAN'T miss it....seriously!"? :D? I thought that was pretty funny :)

Cheers!

Thanks guys for all the fun!. I had a blast. Deffinatly will be more meets for me in the future. Thanks PaulsAV for introducing me to everyone and the whole process. I was thinking the same thing driving in, "where is it" kept driving then looking over the parking lot saying, "o my gosh look at all of them(grin on my face)". Not one avalanche was the same there and it was awsome to see all the mods people have done. And especially those who drove so far to make it.

Apparently several people had problems finding the right lot. When I pulled in, Ken told us it was the first left right around the bend. So, I made the first left right around the bend and I found a parking lot big enough for 10 cars. The jumper people told us it was the next parking lot :E:. I don't remember who followed me in, but they had the same problem too.

Well I am home 1240 miles door to door what a great time. As always awsome seeing everyone agian. Cindy,Ken , Sparqui and Carolyn Thank you for all your hard work, You guys and gals Rock.

It was a great lunch too, what happened with all that leftover food?

I know the answer to that! I was over at sparquis in-laws house today - they kept offering us FOOD!! "Would you like something to drink and some pasta salad?!" "A beer and some beans?"

Great food at the GTG too! Thanks to all the chefs who supllied some great grub!

It got to a point that I started looking. It is pic 183 of 238 before you see the first person with the AVs. And it's pic 211 before we see a group of people in the picnic area. Post up some of the people! Like you did above. I like meeting Sperry, 04AvFan, WildFire, etc, even if it's only in pics.

chAVey - we were all hiding to do a "Wheres Waldo" shot! I'll post a pic of me with my "Best WBH" trophy when we get back!

On behalf of Eric and I, we want to thank you all for a really great time. We so appreciated your hospitality and generosity (especially to you az_spoiled_wife and ghostwheel for the radios and for meeting up with us so we wouldn't have to drive alone). We look forward to seeing all of you again in Laughlin.  This goes out to not just the AZ group, but the CA and NV group also.

A big THANK YOU
to all who worked so hard to make this a wonderful event.

It was well organized and just a pleasure to attend and see all the Avalanches and friends and new friends.

Wow, there is so much to say about this event. We had a great time and lots of fun. I am glad we were able to make it. My pic count is at a low of 72 pics since we had the dogs glued to our hips the whole time. But they did very well the entire weekend just hanging around and enjoying the extra attention from everyone who petted them. We will post a link to the pictures early this week.

It was nice to meet up and roll with rangercliff (Eric & Sharon) to and from calif.  We look forward to seeing you guys again.

It was nice to be able to see Sperry again on friday at sonic and saturday at the park.

The weather was great for the weekend. Especially since it was cooler then phoenix. We really enjoyed our time at the park on saturday. It was nice to see everyone we have met in the past again and also to meet new people. It is always nice to match a face to a screen name. It was a great bbq lunch. They did a good job with the awards and raffles with a lot of donations. Thank you to all who donated.

Thanks to the calif group for taking us up to the drive-in movies in riverside saturday night. We had a good time enjoying the evening watching the movie outdoors. Thanks to the Nevada group for letting us travel with you and hang with you for a late night dessert at dennys.

Part of the fun of gtg's is taking the scenic, scenic route to our destinations with a few u-turns involved. And that definitely wasn't missed at this one.

A big thanks to the california group for hosting and organizing this event again this year. We always appreciate the efforts of all who volunteer and take the time to organize events.

Please let us know if/when you have any of the calendars available to sell.

Todd, We hope you enjoyed your thank you gift from the national event. Ed, Thank you very much for putting it together.

Cindy, Thanks for modding my national shirt for me.  :D

Pat & Julie, glad to hear you made it home safe and did not need our herding dogs to bring you in.  >:D

Pat, Julie & Eric (supercharger) Thanks for following with Todd home.

Rangercliff,  Hope you see you guys again sometime soon. Gald you enjoyed your first event.

GTO - Great looking mod done lowering your av.

Mike - Thanks again for the nevada sweatshirt.
