Sound (video) Clips

Well you can at least get an idea of the sound of my latest setup from this vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cx9zefG2q2E This is true dual 3" pipe with an "H" connection, catless with a pair of FM Super 50s.

Will have to make an idle vid when I get the rear end and driveshaft back together. In my opinion it did not get any quieter than with the previous FloPros or the long case Magnaflows(once the packing blew out of them). Both the FloPros and Super 50s are chambered designs..no packing. The Magnaflows were straight thru with packing.

I would say idle is the same or louder with the Super 50s, but 1500-2000 RPM drone is less. Although drone is relatively mild with all of these there seems to be a certain RPM where it is the greatest, then it tapers off again above that.

I would like to hear that closer, it's too far away.

Here you go.....
Although it is much louder than it seems from the video.  I was expecting a visit from the neighbors again after I revved it.

Thats quite a beast you got there DrX

Yes much better video. So the neighbors paid you a visit already. I'm surprised they don't knock down my door sometimes, especially when I accidentally trip my train horn with the remote. I am also surprised you have the  tail pipe cutout in the cladding like mine, being your's is an 04. I think it was in 04 when they quit doing that and maybe yours was an early edition. Anyhow sounds great, blew me away when you romped on it.

Yeah, some neighbors didn't appreciate me doing idle tuning in my driveway.

They should have put a double cutout in the cladding...LOL.

I was afraid that I might blow the camera off the box it was sitting on about 6 ft from the exhaust tips. Last time I made a similar vid, it spun the camera around. With the angle of the tips, the exhaust does a great job of cleaning the streets when I romp om it.

Interesting view looking down the saddlebag, haven't seen that before.  Overall good sound but did hear some drone around 1800 - 2000 rpm's on initial take offs. The system might be built too tight with the hangers not offering much dampening. I have this problem with my setup. Looking to lower the front hanger a bit today just a smidge to see if it helps.
