For all the newcomers, Southern Comfort Conversion Vans has a kit which are overlays that are placed on top of the rear "cladding" to make the back of the Avalanche look like the Cadillac EXT.
There are numerous ways to customize your rear upper cladding, this is one.
I ordered, and received at one of the GTG's, a slick kit factory painted to match my '07 LT3. I finally got around to having it installed by my best friend. Things have been hectic and priorities are priorities. It worked out good though as he just opened a 27,000 square foot body shop and during the open house, he had his crew installing some items on my Avy (slick kit and line of fire) while all the insurance company reps were stuffing their faces with free food etc.
I am attaching one picture of my very dirty Avy with the factory painted slick kit installed. I am grateful for my friend taking the time, or should I say initiative, to installing the accessories I had been saving. As I said, good friends are hard to find.
This picture really doesn't do justice to the slick kit. It is really neat. When I get the Avy washed and waxed up, and there is a good day without overcast, I will get some better pictures posted. Working from 6 pm to 6 am does have it's drawbacks.
Again, this is just ONE way of customizing the rear upper cladding.
