Spark Plug Change And Shock Absorber Change

I took delivery of my Avalanche on 2 July 2001. I live up a gravel country road and now I am concerned about plugs and shocks after 31,000 miles?

31,000 miles is not bad for a stock set of shocks if you spend much time off-pavement. Why are you concerned about the spark plugs?

Are your shock's leaking? I had a problem on the 02 that I had but it was a squeek in the right front shock.

TLB - tell me more about your squeak - I hear a squeak from the front drivers side as I go over bumps, but jumping up and down on my bumper can't recreate

I am just from the old backyard era when we used to change our plugs every 10,000 miles

powvn61, I have pulled GM plugs out of Luminas and blazers with 60,000 miles on them and look like new. As they are platium plugs and at $7.50 a piece. I will pull mine at 20K and check gap and condition. They are very easy to replace in the Av just do them with engine cool and torque to specs. I would not just put any plug in my Av got to be platiums. Cheap plugs can cause miss-fires. Just my $.02
