Tried to install the tottle body space last night wehn i did my new CAI . The spacer hits on the water pump elbow. So like everyone has said ," Good as a paper weight , but thats it" . Oh well I tired. I have an 03 5.3 z71  :E: :E: :E:

Yeah too bad you didn't ask first. Thankfully it is Pepboys so you can take it back.Those things are literally useless on the Avalanche if you ask me. The Avalanche is tuned to the point that a TBS will not make much more of a difference depending on who you ask. Save your money and get and exhaust to add to the intake to let more air out. The TBS will just make a bit more noise and that's it.
 
yeah Reading reviews after i had the throttle body apart and cussing did not do to much good . lol yes I have exhaust , and superchips programmer should be in today .  :laugh:
 
You could try this mod while waiting for that programmer to arrive. I got one from Ian who had traded his Avy for a newer model at the last Avalanche GTG and although I don't use it much now, it is a blast during the summer months.

Yep
The PCM is tricked into thinking that is normal without the MAF readings.
Gradually the truck will go back to normal but until then you can have some fun.
Just don't get caught by the cops.

After doing this do you reconnect the MAF?
