Spray on chrome paint, do they look good?

I am planning on adding only a little bit of chrome accents to the interior of my av. The problem is, the trim kit that are available all have the wrong pieces that i want to mod. And I don't want that much, only a few tasteful accents.

Well, the other option for me is to use those chrome spray paint. Anybody have experience with those? do they look good? i hope they don't look cheap.

Looks very cheap. If I was you I will stay away from it.
Also one wrong spray and you can do a lot of damage, because of paint bleading (soaking, softening) plastic parts. You will have to replace whole part if you do not like it or make a mistake.
But if you do it please post pictures to see.

Tried it on something .... stay away from it if u can...it looks really bad.

They have a chrome tape that looks very good. If the areas that you want chrome are flat this may work.

Chrome spray paint should be called "silver" we have used it on a few things around the house knowing the shiny chrome looking cap was actually not true. We had 2 light fixtures in our hosue that were brass rather than the brushed nickel or chrome like everything else in the house. A night with a few coats of "chrome" paint and some clear coat turned them into a better color, but tell me if you think this looks like "chrome" I vote "silver"!

I would recommend the chrome tape available at most auto parts stores. Goes on pretty easy, sticks good and looks like chrome when your done.

Hmm, cheap is exactly what i want to avoid Although I have to say, _gadget_'s light fixture actually look good, like brush aluminum I am sure mine won't turn out like that...

I thought about the chrome tape, but some of the pieces are not flat at all. We'll see, i'll post a picture when i am done.
