I just decided to go to AC for the weekend. I haven't had a day off in two weeks and I told my wife to pack my bags, cause I'm leaving.... Wait, that was the other day.
Anyway, we're off to AC. Anyone gonna be there this weekend?

Manny

Did the same thing last weekend. Fought the traffic through the Schuykill to give the Borgata $300.

Saw a NICE black cladded '03 in the parking garage last Saturday morning. That was about the only highlight of the trip.

Hope you have better luck than I.

I worked on building the Borgata for 14 months, now that is the only casino I go to.

Manny, I hope you did well last night and had fun.

I lost. I lost big! I lost more than what it would cost to get a Good Hood shipped and painted and installed.

I hate it when the dealer has a 4 showing and the player next to you has a soft 18, (ace & 7), showing, takes a hit and doesn't even have the balls to double down, then takes my card away from me, causing me to break, and the dealers pulls his 7 to make 21, killing everybody on the table.
I got up and called him an @$$hole and so did everyone else. We all left the table. It was the funniest thing ever.

On another note, we hit the Borgota and J-Lo's mom was playing the slots. She hit on the "wheel-of-fortune" for $2.5 million. That be-otch!

yeah.. like she needs the $$.. doh! hopefully i'll be as lucky when i'm down there next.. i might be making the drive sometime next week..

Manny,
I thank you for the donation. Without it the Borgotta would not have been able to allow my Wife to come home with $$$ Sat Night.

We were there when they made the announcement about the Wheel of Fortune win. We were in the Slot area near the "Living Room".

Wasn't enough to fill the nice Samsonite bag but it is a start for the next trip down.

Todd,
So how was the first Day back at "Hard Labor"? ;D

My wife is addicted to AC. Fortunately she only plays the cheap slot machines!

We will be heading down to AC this Friday night. I went to the Borgata a few weeks ago - it is nice. My company designed and inspected the construction of the AC/Brigantine Connector project, including the tunnel. I finally got a chance to go through there, 2 years after it opened! It didn't help me though, I got lost driving into the Borgata employee entrance by mistake and had to go around in circles to get back to where I was supposed to turn!

I forgot to ask. For you Av owners that drive to AC - do you have any clearance problems in the casino parking garages? I suspect it is a real close call in a Z-71 with roof rack. Please let me know, since currently I drive my car there due to concerns over garage clearance.

I don't have a roof rack, but I've been in the garage at Caesar's, Showboat, and Borgata. They are all VERY close. I can see through my sunroof that if I had a rack, it would only clear by about 2-3".

I've got Ford torsion keys up front which makes my front end a little higher but otherwise my ride is on stock 17" wheels. If you haven't levelled your AV you may have another inch or two in clearance.

Manny,

Well, we got the news first at CAFNA about JLO's mom. Here is the article on yahoo:

Link is messed up here is an excerpt:

Guadalupe Lopez, 58, of New York, was playing Wheel of Fortune at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa when she hit for $2,421,291.76 just before 8 p.m. Saturday, according to the casino.

Showboat is tight and I barely made it. It was nerve wracking. BTW, I have the roof rack.

The Borgota is fine since the first floor of the parking lot was made for SUVs, Trucks. The roof is high. I wouldn't drive up the ramp to the higher levels of the gargage at the Borgota.

Given that every time I go, the garages are packed and I have to drive up top, I think I'll drive my car just to be sure!
