Steering Stabilizers For Avs.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket steering stabilizer that is available for a 2002 Av? I've checked all of the local auto parts places where I live, along with a few online sources. I always get the same response...it's too new, we don't have anything listed. There has to be something out there that's available. Does anyone know if one for a Silverado, Tahoe, or Suburban would work?

Sure there is a steering stabilizer for the Av - it's one of the Rancho products - it works on the Av. I haven't gotten one but I might...

If you need info call Off Road Unlimited in Burbank, CA and ask for Nick (818-563-DIRT). By the way, they sold and installed my RCD 6" suspension lift and did an excellent job of installing it (and their prices are very good especially if you negotiate).

MMD beat me to it. Rancho lists a stabilizer that will work on the Av.

Thanks a lot for the info. on the steering stabilizer. Got ahold of Nick out in CA. He said that Rancho definitely has one for the 2002 Av. Also told me to check with my local Rancho dealer to save on shipping. I had checked with them before and they gave me the "it's too new...it's not in our books routine." Called them again after I talked with Nick. Once again they said Rancho doesn't make one for the Av. I told them I knew they did, since I had checked it out. Well, to make a long story long, they looked into it a little further and low and behold they learned something new...Rancho does have one. Got it ordered and it should be here for the weekend.

Glad it worked out, Fosser. I have found that it is to get the info and part number straight from the manufacturer before going into the parts store. As you found, it makes it real tough for them to say it doesn't exist when you can hand them the part number while telling them you just got of the phone with Joe from XYZ company.
